Spoke to some neighbors as a good place to eat.. and Simply Southern came up .. Today(Wed.) had Meat Loaf / Mash Potatoes with Mac &Cheese and Cabbage. The food was good.. there's no bells or whistles .. no Peach Cobbler or Red Velvet Cake😫😩ðŸ˜.. or gravy for my mash..
The food was great, the service was ok, and the atmosphere was pure chaos. This is not a dine in restaurant its pick up only. Being a visitor in the area you walk in and you have no idea which way to go, how to go about ordering, you simply become a robot and get in line and wait your turn. There is no restaurant professionalism, simply "next, light or dark, gravy, what sides... next. " There was a disruption that caused some alarm between a customer and staff member, which caused the entire staff in the back to come out front. This made for a run or look for cover situation, but they did have security to remove the problem. I'm not sure how long they have been in business, but there is a lot of work to be done. This gives literally mean to "hole in the wall" as there is a plexiglass cut-out where front staff speaks with kitchen staff. All restaurant supplies are stored out front in the open. The food is delicious, real home cooking, but you've got to get past and overlook the rest to enjoy the experience of the good foodand it is good food.
I’m very disappointed on today. I purchased my usual meatloaf and double yams. The meatloaf taste like plain ketchup and it’s soupy. The paste suppose to stick to the meatloaf.
This fabulous restaurant was recommended to me by some co-workers, so 3 of my female friends and myself stopped by for some food on our way to Atlanta and my oh my everything was soooooo delicious, staff members showed so much hospitality and they were so courteous. The prices are reasonable and the portions are plentiful. On our way back to Pensacola we stopped by again for Sunday's dinner. No disappointments here. We will definitely come back soon.
My wife and I drove over 300 miles to taste this food. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture. 🤤The parking lot was full. The line wasn’t long at all. Menus are visible to get an idea of what you’d want. You can also call their menu line to hear what they’re serving. The gentleman greeted us at the door. Atmosphere was pleasant. Free drink if you’re paying cash.
