You must go. My son and I found this by happenstance and so glad we did. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Very friendly at the counter. Got the shrimp boil and it was so flavorful, but not overpoweringly spicy. Perfect! The Mac was excellent and next time we will try the soul food items from the hot bar. Not a fancy place. Prices were reasonable. They have specials all the time and Thursdays are college night (I think). Check these folks out. I am a food writer and I was impressed.
! I’m a local and we love our meat and veggies. We have been waiting to try this restaurant out and finally decided to go. I’m so happy that we did!! They greeted us as we came in. The customer service was amazing. The food was just as amazing. The catfish, neck bones and Mac and Cheese were finger licking good. We will be coming back soon!!
I came in and was not greeted then I ordered my food which was an 8 piece combo. It took extremely long for them to cook it and while I was waiting the lady in charge ( not sure if she was the manager) was sitting chatting with her relatives. When I received the food the wings were tiny and had more than a handful of seasoning thrown on them.
This is my second time coming here and it is just amazing, the people and the service are just great and the food is wonderful. I got neck bones wit a side of black eye peas and Mac and cheese. I just love this place!
Most delicious meat/vegetable plate lunch I've found in Tuscaloosa, vegetables seasoned just right! The Philly cheesesteak is also the best I've found 'round here, and the red velvet poundcake made me mumble and mutter in sweet carb-drenched bliss. Fun, friendly, helpful staff. I will definitely be back again and again and again!!!
