Amazing place. Eric was very helpful and outgoing. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back in and finish my song and hopefully record a full album. The place has a great vibe to it, I was at ease the second I walked through the door.
This is a great rehearsal and event space. Gary has done an amazing job building a creative hub, and the neighborhood has gentrified around the Boom Room. For years, they hosted “Music Church”, a collaborative songwriting workshop and jam session. After some troubles with L&I in March, they’re recently reopened and have a new outdoor event space. Looking forward to see the space continue to grow and thrive.
This is my favorite recording studio in Philadelphia. They have everything you could need to just walk in, plug in, and play immediately. The live room is already equipped with fully mic'd drumkit, vocal mics, SUPER PRIMO guitar & bass amps, keyboards, a clearly labeled mixer which is easy to use. There are also 4k livestream cameras, crazy colored lighting fixtures, everything you need to produce video or whatever content you are making. Combined with their great engineers (shoutout to Eric), video editors etc, they can make your whole media package or livestreamed performance with stellar production. The best part however is the community - a network of musicians and creators from every niche and genre who are connecting and collaborating. This to me is the most valuable part! So many people come here to work and create, you will meet other folks from every style and section of the Philly music scene.
Gary the owner is extremely helpful in every way!!! I find this a great place to rehearse!
We hosted a "Battle of the Bands" event at the Boom Room where 5 bands pre-recorded sets, the recordings were edited, and then Gary, the owner of the Boom Room, hosted a live stream for us to showcase the bands. Gary and his team were so wonderful to work with - very professional throughout the whole planning process, but also a lot of fun for our bands to work with during their performances. I can't recommend the Boom Room highly enough!!
