Hi , Keysia Colenburg I wanted to thank you for your thoughtful review. I was scheduled to see this young lady towards the end of July as a new customer. However, the moment that I read your review, I was flabbergasted to say the least. I’m taken aback by the fact that if one wishes to purchase extensions from another vendor, they are penalized upwards of $50-$100?!? I usually purchase extensions that last years if maintained properly such as pure raw extensions by Indique, Redefined by Jennifer Williams or Kendra’s boutique. So, this stylist prefers to strong arm customers for lack of better words to purchase only her hair extensions or you’re penalized an extra free because she wants clients to purchase only her extensions that seem to matte-WOW!! This is not to mention that your (the customers) hair does not look as though it was professionally done. It appears matted and undone respectfully speaking. So, this could only mean if this is the hair that the stylist sale is of poor quality. Yet, one is penalized if they don't purchase the stylist extensions. I can’t get over this! This is the first time I’ve ever heard of such a thing and I’m from Milwaukee, WI and am well seasoned with salons. However, it’s the stylist business and her prerogative to set her policies and prices to whatever price that she wants. Every stylist goal should be consistent with their business plans and that is to provide outstanding services and excellent customer service because customers are walking billboards. You will gain or lose business based on their assessment of you. One must never underestimate their competition .There’s several hair stylist relocating to Arizona from Atlanta, Ga.and other Midwest states weekly. What will set you apart from the others? Your customer service and policies that are usual and customary not outliers. If you want to promote your extensions then inform the customer that they can purchase their own (without penalty), or they can conveniently purchase them from you maybe with a discount off services. One must be mindful and truly understand successful consumerism and therefore execute a business practice that is consistent with success and power in the industry. Penalty type policies that are not consumer friendly is the difference between a successful and busy hair stylist as oppose to one that frequently experience open appointments in their schedule. Unfortunately, one will always experience negative reviews-it goes along with being in business. One can’t make everyone happy. However, if a previous client describe the hair stylist as being rude and uncaring that’s an opinion and may not reflect you as a stylist and therefore should not be taken seriously. However, when the business owner (hair stylist) rebuttal is rude and angry, it leads potential customers to believe that matter-of-fact, this stylist is rude and have poor customer service practices, which could only mean to a potential customer that the hair stylist will be rude to them as well.
Michelle is great, very personable and great energy. I felt pampered and beautiful when I left. Please check her out…you will not be disappointed!
I had the greatest experience 😌 with Michelle. As early as 2020 during the pandemic, she was very kind and clean in her salon. She did a silk press on both me and my daughter and we felt gorgeous 😍 🍯 It is important to finding a stylist that not only wants you looking good but promotes healthy growth for you too.
Michelle is one of 3 stylist I have used since moving to Arizona. I am so glad I found her! She has helped me to maintain my natural hair in an environment that is not the best due to the heat and hard water. I get a treatment each time. After a trim and color I always look and feel Amazing! I also use her products on my hair and my daughters hair. The edge control Is the best to tame our edges. Highly recommend.
An incredible experience from start to finish. Michelle is such a kind and warm soul, you feel welcome from start to finish. I have had various services from a cut, to coloring, relaxing and extensions. I always leave happy with the results. Michelle is extremely professional and even has her own product line to obtain and maintain that look at home! She is very knowledgeable about her craft and I wouldn’t trust my crown with anyone else!!
