Pushy, unprofessional, lazy, scammers. Williamsburg..you can do better. From the beginning: Security was trying to sell a section because they were “about to be sold out” but the bar was basically empty. We walked in after paying a $10 cover per person, and stood for a few minutes waiting for a host or someone to seat us, no one came. so my group walked up to a girl that was taking orders to ask how much a hookah was and the waitress told us it was $200 for a bottle and a hookah. We told her we weren’t interested in getting a section and we just wanted hookah, she then asked what bottle we wanted after we told her we weren’t interested. We asked if we could just get a hookah, they then told us a hookah is $30. We sat down at one of the many empty “sections” (a bench, two chairs and a dollar tree bucket filled with ice) and were told where we sat at was “reserved” for the next two hours (it was about 12:30 am with no one lined up outside). My group of 4 was moved to a table with 3 seats. The same waitress then came up to us with a card reader asking us what bottle we wanted again and at that point my group knew we were leaving. Beyond that: the music was so loud you couldnt hear anything and ordering was a headache, there was some random guy with a microphone yelling over the music, a vodka red Bull was $13 and barely filled half the tiny cup, the waitresses were rude and stuck up, the security was so incredibly rude and childish it was embarrassing you’d think they were working at an actual reputable club not some corner in a strip mall that was almost entirely empty. I’m not sure why anyone with any self respect would spend a dollar let alone $200 here every weekend. We were prepared to spend more than $200 but the way the staff acted and the ambiance and pushy selling of overpriced everything left a bad taste in our mouths. They’ve only been open since February and i doubt they’ll be open much longer.
If you think this place is anything above one star (and that’s just because I can’t rate a 0) you must have never been anywhere outside of Williamsburg. the level of unprofessionalism I witnessed going to this place is ridiculous. Security stares everyone down and talks to you like you’re bothering them trying to get into their empty establishment. They clearly couldn’t pass the test to become actual cops so they take their anger out on patrons because they want to feel powerful. I understand and admire the level of safety: having multiple security guards with guns at the door, but the rudeness and blatant disrespect they gave patrons was unacceptable. They’ll try to upsell you on everything and lie to you about what you can/can’t order so they force you to order the most expensive options. The waitresses act bothered if you ask them for anything. It’s embarrassing that we gave this place a chance honestly. Go to Richmond for an actual enjoyable hookah experience where you’ll be treated like a human not a debit card.
Bummer 😕. Rough crowd, DJ was lame, drinks were decent but couldn't get a table for hookah due to being "sold out". They still do the charging more for men thing even though it's waaaaaay more men than women inside. Booooooooooo!!! No recommendations from me.
My fav place in the area. Amazing music and drinks and the vibe is everything. The owner and workers are all very welcoming. Just overall a great atmosphere to be in.
Cool spot that is unexpected in that small plaza. The DJ was on point and giving very 90s vibe which I loved. There was a open mic on the Thursday I went. The drinks were okay kind of watery, but overall the vibe was fun.
