The sauce and seasoning on OUR CHOICE is GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS! The fish was good, however, a little fatty. Not sure what type of fish they used … maybe tilapia (which I’m not fond of). If they used COD, holy cow I’d go back once a week! The slaw, rice and beans and fish GREAT FLAVOR. Totally on point, could just def go for a diff type of fish.
The jerk chicken seemed a bit dry which they tried to cover up with extra sauce. Not terrible, but not the fall off the bone variety that one normally associates to really good chicken. Not sure if the staff were getting used to a new system because the order taker seemed frazzled over a glitch in the automated terminal and simply ignored a line of customers who were having trouble with the machine. Overall, despite the long wait, it is still worth a try atleast once.
Beef patty with coco bread is full of so much flavor! Delicious all around. The jerk chicken meal taste amazing always ask for additional sauce on the side, you won’t regret it!
I ordered a Jamaican Beef Patty and a side of Coco bread. The beef patty was fried to perfection and the beef inside wasn’t that greasy which I appreciated. The coco bread was great as well. Only another customer and I had been given wrong meals at the same time. These hiccups happen though. I would definitely recommend this place!
Located in City Point, this restaurant is one of a variety of kiosk eateries at the Albee Square Mall. There is communal style seating conveniently close by, and my friend and I were lucky enough to get a seat. We shared our table with a party of three. This was my first time at Likkle More Jerk and was I was looking forward to trying the jerk fish filet. It comes with rice a beans and plain coleslaw. All orders are "to go" and placed in plastic takeaway containers. Bags are available upon request and, if you think you'll need one, I suggest asking for one upfront instead of when you're about to leave. This way you'll avoid the suspicious looks and questions about whether you purchased from them instead of another restaurant. When I opened my container I was a little taken aback at the appearance of the jerk fish filet. Aside from the sauce spread over it, it looked broiled (I was expecting baked or grilled) and without much seasoning. The first bite revealed the fish was soft to the point of being mushy and very bland under the sauce. The rice and beans and coleslaw were even more bland. The sauce saves this dish. It was spicy and well seasoned. Without the sauce, the dish would have been bland and mushy. While the food was disappointing the staff was pleasant, except for when I asked for a bag. I won't be returning to Likkle More Jerk, but it's not because the food was bad, it's just not to my taste. I recommend giving the place a try if you're interested and decided for yourself whether you like it.
