I sent an email with an example cake that I wanted for my birthday and quickly received an estimated quote for a cake of that complexity. Moved forward with them making the cake so I had a phone call to confirm all the details - flavor, colors, and final cost. The cake would travel almost 5hrs by car to its final destination before I'd see it. It made it perfectly. They boxed it well and carried it to the car so my transportation didn't have to (mobility wise it would've been challenging for the one transporting the cake for me to carry such a large cake alone) - I appreciated their understanding. I would definitely choose them again to make a custom cake. I've also used them for their standard cakes you can order via their website and have not been disappointed by them either.
Over all amazing crew and job well done! The lady the delivered the cake to our venue set up the entire cake table for us and did an amazing job! Fast and efficient! Answered all our questions and the cake tasted AMAZING!!!!!!
We ordered an assortment of cakes for my mom’s birthday, and our pickup date was 3/31 - tornadoes delayed us from picking up that day, but they were there the next day - no power - but they had a generator for the fridge and were so friendly and organized among all the mayhem. The cakes themselves were AMAZING. Perfect flavor, buttery texture, and beautifully presented. I will tell everyone I know to use this business - they are the best!
I ordered a two tier cake from Mickey’s for my son’s birthday party yesterday. It was the first time I have ever gotten a cake from them. I chose one that was simple and added some decorations on my own afterwards. The cake is absolutely delicious. One of my son’s friends said it was the best cake he has ever eaten and I don’t disagree. The cake transported to our venue with no issue because it was packed in a box and taped up and I was given clear instructions as to how to safely get it from point A to point B, as well as tips for keeping leftovers fresh for the maximum amount of time after our event. I will definitely be ordering from Mickey’s again.
POOR NEW MANAGEMENT I went into the store today to get 6 white cupcakes with butter cream icing. Front desk tries to sell me the cupcakes in the showcase which would have been ok if they didn’t have chocolate shavings all over them I didn’t want that. I asked are there any in the back and can I get those with just icing no shavings she came back and told me “the workers in the back are busy they will not be able to put icing on them for you the showcase is all we have” so I asked for the manager she came out and told me “she has deadlines to meet and we don’t have time to put icing on the cupcakes for you” but I told her “everybody don’t eat chocolate shavings on cupcakes either” her facial expression showed she didn’t care about my order. I left the store with no cupcakes!! I miss the old management she was willing to go over and beyond for her paying customers. Looks like I will have to find another bakery I have been buying from here for over 10 years the store is going down. They don’t even deserve 1 Star.
