Stopped at this place on our way out of Little Rock. Quaint little spot. Had the Lea Lea Dog (good chili cheese dog) the Atomic Dog (jalapeños were spicy), both hot dogs were very juicy with a tad crunch to the skin. Also had the shrimp and catfish meal with some perfectly crunchy and soft inside tater tots. Shrimp and catfish were cooked perfectly with just enough batter that enhanced the shrimp and catfish tastes. Buffalo wings had a crunch on the outside with great flavor. Overall a delicious meal. The employees were very friendly and checked how the food was tasting. Kind enough to invite us back again for a Sunday special.
Yall! When I say highly recommend!! 10/10. My family and I purchased 2 hot dogs, catfish plate, cheeseburger plate, and Nachos!!! Everything made fresh and tasted delicious. While we waited we were offered games to occupy my toddler. Differently run, and get some Food.! And while your there request the Lea Lea’s Punch!
Loved this place the first time I came. Alone. They hooked me up with some really great dipping sauce for my fries and the dog was fire. Second time I came, the service was weird. Is it because I’m gay and brought my husband? Is it a racial thing (I’m Mexican, he’s white)? The person that took our order was friendly with everyone but us. Huge supporter of black and locally owned businesses. Probably won’t go back because of the poor treatment. Queer folks, beware.
So I had dinner here last week and tried the chili cheese dog along with a BBQ wing basket which includes fries and Texas toast. I'll start with the dog. It was ok but the chili seemed to have a bit of sweetness to it. Kind of odd. It should have more of a hearty savory flavor. The frank was tasty and probably all-beef. And I would suggest they serve it on a paper or Styrofoam plate cuz the wax paper they use falls apart quickly when you use the knife and fork, which is a necessity since the dog is a bit messy. The wings were decent but I'm not a big fan of their method of preparation. They bread them, fry them then sauce them. Personally I prefer breaded with a dry rub or non-breaded and sauced. Just a preference. The fries were pretty good and had a light dusting of seasoning salt. I may come back and try other wing flavors but will skip the dogs cuz they are a bit grippy.
I LOVE chili dogs! This place satisfies my fat girl needs okay! I got the Rock Town combo and it was DELICIOUS! My son had a frito pie and loved it! I’ll definitely be back again soon! Like today lol a little on the expensive side! I paid 20 for that combo and small frito but it was so good that outweighed the price to me! Keep it up!
