I’ll give 5 stars on my hair because they did that!! I love my braids; however, I got there at 2:30pm and they didn’t finish until 3am!!!! I want to go back because of the excellent braids but I live an hour and 30 minutes away. It’s no fun driving that early and getting home at 4:30am! They stopped multiple times while doing my hair to handle a baby and their basic needs! My back and buttocks is still sore!!!
I paid over $400 for a poor job. The stylist was negative the entire time. The stylist was more curious about my personal life than just doing my hair. The job was done very poorly. My braids started coming down within days (a style that typically stayed up 3 months). There were roaches EVERYWHERE. Some crawling on me, some in my cup of fruit that I sat down for a second. The roaches were so bad I had to sit my belongings outside and hope I wasn’t taking any home. I allowed her to know how horrible the job was two weeks later and she told me to come back to fix the job and I honestly wouldn’t because of the roaches. I asked for my tip money back to put towards my new style since I had to get something different within a short amount of time and she replied “ we got someone out to spray for roaches…sorry no refund” THERE is no way possible that got all the roaches out. The place was infested with roaches. They were killing them as they did my hair I wouldn’t recommend this place to NOBODY!! EVER!!
DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE! I used to go to this hair braiding shop quite a bit when I was very young. Back then their service was great but now they've gone completely down hill. You schedule an appointment 3 days in advance; walk into the salon to find all 4 stylist doing other peoples hair. To make it worse they JUST STARTED which we all know takes some time. I was supposed to receive micros at 10 in the morning. They started at 12:28. They stopped so many times to work on other clients hair and was left sitting there for 30 minutes until one of the stylists decided to continue finishing the task at hand. The worst part about all of this was when I called in advance I was notified the cost would be 160 dollars depending on whether I bought my own hair (in which I did). I decided to pay with card and for your information PLEASE PAY WITH CASH, I had left for basic training only to find out I had 190 dollars taken out instead of what she told me in the store and on the phone. This isn't the first time I've heard other people receive bad service from this same hair shop. Your better off going to the one in Jacksonville. My mother left this braiding shop to go the one in Jacksonville, walked right in and got her hair done. I should've done the same if only I had listened. And lastly the braids weren't even done neatly. I had hair sticking out from the braid and the knots at the end of the braid coming a loose the next morning.
The quality is good. The customer service is horrible. I’ve been there three times and sent 4 people to them. Today I had an appointment at 0930 and by 1100 the person whom was supposed to do my hair still hadnt showed up. The owner just kept saying she was on her way. She lives directly across the street from the establishment in walking distance. I refuse to wait all day to give you my money. I can get the same results with better customer service at Touba hair braiding which is who I will send all my family members to. In 2020 it’s definitely more important to treat your customers with respect and professionalism than earning a dollar.
If I could give zero stars I would. I had an appointment for Senegalese twists. Got there a little after 11am and did no leave the shop until 9 pm! Besides that.. there's visa and MasterCard postings inside, so i assumed I could pay with plastic. Nope! Cash only. After 1/4 of my hair was done I was asked for payment and had to go to the bank looking crazy to get cash. There were several workers' kids inside, one little boy who rubbed pizza sauce all over my briefcase. Think they cleaned it? No. I have had my twists for almost 3 weeks now and several braids have come out around the perimeter of my hairline, along with my hair but I have thick hair so it isn't as noticeable. My braids easily slip out because it wasn't braided properly and my hair looks 2 months old. Please don't waste your money people, go elsewhere!!!
