Chris Rakes: FIVE STARS. Smart, efficient, sincerely friendly/courteous, responsive to any and all inquiries, and fun to plan with. Our friends had already booked a French canal barge first-rate cruise (through Chris) and invited my wife Kathy and me (not “I”; “me” is the object of the verb “invited”; you wouldn’t say “invited I” would you? But I digress…) to join them, so we contacted Chris, too. Our travel experiences, though very broad, had been done as life-long airline-related employees, eligible for travel discounts. The catch is, the benefits are when travelling stand-by, space available, meaning no plans could be fully, confidently confirmed because we NEVER knew if we could get on board! All spontaneous…lodging, rental cars, train tickets, boat trips!! Travellers, appreciate Chris!!! She took care of ALL the bookings and reservations for which anyone could ask!! And since we have long since reached our technological/travel-planning level of incompetence, her expertise is invaluable! We have already booked a Swiss Rail tour through Chris for 2024, and are researching a Queen Mary Atlantic crossing which connects in London to another Swiss Rail trip that travels through the Chunnel and continues to Strasbourg Germany and Switzerland. We booked with Chris for a trip to Alaska! She suggested Uncruise for our family of four adults. It was an adventure cruise. It was a great experience for our family. Lots of kayaking and hiking . The cruise boat was small so we got to know all 69 people on board!Thank you, Chris!
