When I tell you, this is a 10 out of 10 I’m not playing no cap this is definitely a must have if you come to California and are in the Los Angeles area this was located 20 minutes away from our hotel but I am telling you this is a must have The chicken and waffles 👌🏾 The taco omelette, chefs kiss 😘 The fried chicken was flavored to the bone perfectly seasoned and crispy. I’m not going to lie your eyes will be bigger than what you probably can eat because the peach cobbler oatmeal was so good. I could only take four bites of it, but the server told me if we take it home with us to warm it up the next morning, the flavor is still even more amazing. You will visit more than once if you’re on vacation, I promise you!
I would say they have the best fried chicken I have tried in LA so far. There is s o much flavor in their food. There can be a bit of wait sometimes, but never anything outrageously long. All of the hostesses and servers I have personally encountered have always been very friendly.
Wow, food is fantastic. Fresh and delicious, can't explain how good it was, just go try it for.yourself! Lobster and Gouda grits Mel's breakfast burrito Side waffles with peach cobbler butter Strawberry lemonade, pineapple lemonade Our waitress, Yatta, was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was excellent. Music a little to loud, makes everyone need to talk louder which makes the overall restaurant loud. No reason to stay away. We will back as soon as we are in town again!
When you're near LAX, stop by and give 'em a try.... The food was good. The chicken was really good... like my mama's (from the south) good! My eat-in order was a Fried Lobster and Grits which could've been seasoned a little better. I also ordered Fried Chicken and a Sweet Potatoe Waffle, but the Waffle was a regular Waffle w/ a Scoop of Sweet Potatoes Smashed in between... it's not an actual Sweet Potatoe Waffle, which was a little surprising. I wish they had told me BEFORE I ordered it. SN: I didn't see the menu to read the description; the server told me what my options were and didn't mention their version of a Sweet Potatoe Waffle, but overall I enjoyed my meal(s). (s)= I bought an extra meal to eat later. Yes, we all know I'm greedy. SN: Ignore my husband's singing The service was great! It's on a busy corner in a tiny strip mall, next to 7-Eleven.
SHADY 12% SERVICE CHARGE. That does not go to the server. And it also means your paying tax on the 12% service charge. It’s illegal. You can tell the sever to take it off. -however- Amazing Food, service was on point, but the space is hot as grits, a/c must not work.
