I was there Sunday and was looking forward to trying the place based on reviews. Staff was very friendly but my beef rib was dry and tough because it clearly hadn’t been cooked the same day. When I got back to my hotel with this $28+tax rib I was upset. I hope they will either give away the old food or toss it in the future. No way should I have been sold that awful piece of meat. It probably would have been great had it been fresh .very disappointing.
Smokey G’s food isn’t good, it’s phenomenal. Not just the best barbecue but the best food I’ve ever had from top to bottom. I would eat this over a fancy sit down any day. The main dishes are seasoned and cooked to perfection. Don’t sleep on the sides either! Great service and delivery. Greg knows his stuff too. Ask him what goes into bringing this good of food to your plate and you’ll know why it’s that good. I’d give this 10 stars if I could!
Smokey G's pulled pork was excellent. It was moist and my perfect level of smoke. The ribs were awesome too. The finish left me curious how it was going to taste because they didn't have a bark on them, they looked like something coming out of a sous vide but they tasted fantastic. The Mac and cheese was so-so, not bad but missing something. The coleslaw was really good and had a bit of spice to them. The BBQ sauce was on point, sweet and spicy. I was super disappointed that they didn't have any brisket, but I'm confident they will satisfy.
Adding 2 my first review. Rib tips are too good & so tender! I’ve had the majority of the menu through my MULTIPLE visits and I haven’t been disappointed yet! Turkey and Brussel sprouts yummy AF too! Perfectly seasoned and prepared! And the catering is a blessing for my family with strenuous work schedules! Rib tips, salmon, hot sausage, half chicken, ribs 😋🤤 Brisket ALL melts n your mouth!
I was referred to Smokey G's last year. Greg not only cooked my turkey, he delivered it to me. This year my co-workers wanted to do a potluck and I turned to Greg again, this time a smoked Brisket. My co-workers are still talking about the main dish. I will be using his services again. Great atmosphere, friendly. You will not go wrong selecting Smokey G's for your Holiday season or any other occasion.
