I’ve been back and forth about leaving a review about my experience because I’m not one to leave bad reviews no matter what type of service I receive since I work in the customer service industry but this store has me sitting really uneasy for a few weeks now. First off I went into this store since I read the reviews about their wig collection (no such store in the town where I’m from so I had to drive a decent amount of time.) I went in on a Saturday completely blind about wigs and what I’m supposed to get and etc because I’ve never been in a situation where I needed one.. but here I find myself not feeling comfortable with my hair loss and I go and give my trust into a complete stranger.. the lady helped me pick out a synthetic hair wig and the products to use with it. She was very kind and knowledgeable and helpful. (I felt really good about my over $500 purchase between the wig and three travel size bottles of product when leaving) the wig was curled when I purchased and i kept the curls in after washing for a bit. Once I straightened the hair I noticed why exactly the wig had been curled. Underneath at the nape the hair had been chopped off!! LITERALLY CHOPPED, uneven and definitely not professional… the hair was frizzing so badly after my First week of having it that I came to realize after a couple more that THE WIG HAD BEEN USED AND USED!!! I’ve attached pictures as well.. and of course the lady knew I was from out of town and how coincidental NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES ON ANY WIGS!!! I was TOTALLY and NO DOUBT taken advantage of… now I have this pitiful wig that’s literally losing hair left and right, practically see through and frizzing so badly it’s hideous and no way of purchasing a new one after dumping $500 into this sad sight of one.(I can only imagine what the original wig looked like) How disturbing to take advantage of someone in such a terrible situation already with hair loss… The business should be ashamed.
Owner was rude to my 80 year old mother when needing help with wig already purchased. I witnessed and intervened as my mom is very sweet and soft spoken did not argue at all about the no return policy. Owner said she could do this or that with it but didn’t offer to assist her until I raised my voice and said, “well she’s 80 years old do you think can show her!” The owner did but was still abrupt and inconsiderate. My mother and I will never shop there again. Also my mother spent $155 dollars on the wig and is still not happy with it and she is on an extremely fixed income. Word of advice to the owner have some compassion and respect your elders.
They carry Morocan Oil Products!! Plus other real good products! Sweet lady had hair like me and was able to help with other products.
Really impressed by this place! My usual dye place was closed & tried this one. It's different than the big beauty supply, with just one brand for dye, all near-natural colors. But it is a line of reasonably priced, incredible color products (satin brand - the packaging is not exciting but it's low-ammonia & does not smell even a little bad, full of aloe & good stuff too). The staff is awesome - the colorist suggested the perfect color to cover my navy hair & the other staff person made sure I got the correct developer. They don't have a huge selection of products, but if you prefer natural colors, definitely try Big Sky. I think they also do custom wig dyeing.
I've been a customer for hair care supplies for quite awhile and appreciate the expertise in helping me choose. Then, I decided I wanted to try wearing a wig for convenience and I got it today. She helped me by showing me styles and colors and I'm very happy with my purchase!! Expert help isn't available everywhere, so I'm delighted with Big Sky!
