This review is overdue, I visited Skin Soup on 4/28 after making a trip to SF and was in dire need of a skin makeover with an upcoming honeymoon. It was last minute so I wasn’t able to book an appt with the owner Lauren but she was kind enough to squeeze me in with her esthetician Emily who was 5/5. She has the most calming and kind demeanor which already puts you at ease and while being extremely thorough, she also was excellent at explaining what part of the process we were in during the facial session. I had the Whole Bowl (90 mins) and was beyond impressed with the results. They only use the best high quality skincare such as Skinceuticals, as well as selling in store/can ship to your home too. The only disappoint is that they’re so far away from home and will be a treat visiting whenever I’m back up north. Definitely book a session with Emily. Your skin will thank you I promise!
Went for a wax and loved my experience! Emily handled my wax and made me feel extra comfortable :). The atmosphere is so soothing and they even warm up the room and towels so you're not freezing. Highly recommend this place for waxes and I will be trying out their skin therapy options (facials, etc) soon!

I've known Lauren since 2017, when she had a spot in Berkeley, and I haven't been able to give her up ever since. Lauren's attention to detail and her flexibility when it comes to her clients is unparalleled, and I will be hard-pressed to find an aesthetician who'll ever take care of me as well as she does.
I have followed Lauren from Berkeley to Lafayette because she is SO WORTH IT. Super friendly, incredibly skilled, and I come away feeling utterly refreshed. Do yourself a favor and get on her table!
