Excellent quarantine eats. Friendly staff, excellent customer service. Huge portions. Feast of one rack of ribs and 2 sides and corn bread. Everything was freshly made and hot upon arrival. I put the sweet potatoes in the oven with some butter and a few dashes of crown vanilla just to be ‘extra’ but I liked the fact that they were not overcooked to the point that they were mush. Everything was homemade, no canned fillers. I’m not crazy about other peoples corn bread but their cornbread was just fine...not too sweet and not too cake-like...just right. The Mac and cheese was tasty and there were even some of the top browned-golden cheese parts that I like. The rib pan had plenty of sauce and the ribs were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. They were very meaty, there was no excessive fatty portions. Very enjoyable late evening barbecue, and they did all the work and heavy lifting. House smells like I was cooking in the grill. Great local business to support during this quarantine and after.
For those looking for a quick review the food here is good and the prices are fair Now for the details this is a take out only restaurant and they have a lot of options to select from as well as daily specials. If you would like an adult beverage with your meal they also have a very wide selection of those. As this was my first time here I didn't know it was strictly carry out so I ordered then waited. The food is cooked fresh at the time the order is placed for many items but they do have ready made stuff like wings For those who might be a tad worried about this place because of its location don't be. The staff was very friendly and at no time did I or my 7 year old son feel unsafe. Your still on the hill on the way down to the more sketchy areas so no need to worry. This place is one of a handful of gems I have come across on that side of town and if your willing to go outside your comfort zone you'll find nice people with some great food.

The food is always delicious and never over seasoned. Customer service is great. Although it's small in size, the variety of good food is plentiful. Makes you fall in love with vegetables, especially their cabbage. Try it, you will keep going back.
