This tour of Provence was a lifetime experience for our family. There were eight of us, sisters, daughters, and nieces. We experienced the south of France through all five senses. St. Remy was a perfect base camp. Our daily activities were organized but flexible. We enjoyed delicious food and wine in all kinds of beautiful settings. Christy, Phillipe and Summer are not only knowledgeable but fun! We highly recommend this tour!
Our trip to the Loire Valley with Christy was wonderful from beginning to end. We were picked up at the Amboise train station by Christy and Christine (our excellent driver). Settled in and a short rest at the delightful Le Pavillon de Lys. Then shuttled to a late afternoon ride on a historic Tout boat on the Loire River. So relaxing after the hustle and bustle of Paris - gliding past Chateaux, with Christy starting her fascinating history of the area! An incredible breakfast in Le Pavillon de Lys sitting areas every morning. Then shuttled each day to awesome Château. Christy arranged everything, making it so easy, with plenty of time to explore each Châteaux and their gorgeous grounds. Plus, from Christy, a wealth of interesting and spicy commentary on the history and lives of the French Royalty at the Chateaux. The food and wine were delicious, including a meal at the home of Master Chefs Angelique and Christoph, where we had an opportunity to be Sous Chefs! And also, dinner at Le Medicis restaurant with a tour of Chef Damien’s kitchen. He gave us a chocolate tasting and a cheese tasting where he placed each cheese on a map of France. The dessert of the most delicate chocolate lava cake with a side of butternut ice cream on a crumb crust was melt in your mouth magnifique! A highlight of the trip was a tour of the historic Château de Montdomaine vineyard and winery with a wonderful French country lunch at the Chateau Montdomaine home of Luisa and Fred. The tour was so well organized, comfortable, and interesting! THANK YOU to Christy and Christine and everyone who made our Loire tour delightful!
We had an incredible vacation on our tour in Loire Valley! Our adventure was memorable and better than we ever imagined. Christie and Christine are the best to travel with as they share their passion, expertise, and knowledge of the history and area! The itinerary is well planned and filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences from hot air ballooning to boating in a toues. We must also mention the personal experience of Christie’s friends and famous chefs opening their home to us for an amazing and delectable meal. This was our second tour with Christie and will not be our last! We love how easy she makes our travel with first class accommodations, thoughtful planning, and a personal touch in every detail. - Dana and Kyle
Fabulous trip! It was like a high school field trip to the coolest place ever with all your besties! Had a blast with 6 of the funniest females in France. These ladies were so kind and easy to spend time with. I enjoyed listening to their stories and learning about their families. Very classy ladies! Christy did an outstanding job of coordinating the entire event! Her knowledge and story telling enhanced the whole experience. I would do it again!
Our two guides Philippe and Summer were great and very knowledgeable. They went above and beyond helping us find things to fill out free time and great hosts during activities and meals. The Provence tour was great! If you love good food and Van Gogh, you'll enjoy this adventure. I went at the end of June so I did get to enjoy lavender fields and sunflowers as well!
