This was a venue from old Oakland that was converted to a Ballroom for rent. There was so much nostalgia in the decor. It was a very spacious venue for parties with a sizable dance floor.
Was here for prom and came back again for a family event it's a lovely place
A retrofitted, classic style venue. It’s a great place to host your parties, it’s off Franklin right before you hit all the nightlife going down 14th street toward Telegraph Ave. They have a good-sized bar in the back , the stage upfront, with a sizable dance floor. My parents actually had their wedding reception here 28 years ago, barely found this out after a party I attended where I needed them to taxi me home after a few too many 🥂. Would not recommend driving to an event you are attending because cars are known to get broken into especially because you’ll have to park ways away at least a few blocks, on top of paying for parking on weekdays. But no fee for parking on weekends unless you decide to park in a parking structure where usually they have security roaming and cameras.
The ballroom as a function/event venue is a nice convenient facility. The facility must have been updated in recent years because I noticed that the green room and the restrooms were well maintained and nicely appointed with modern items. Probably did renovation work within the last 7 years. If completed farther back than that, they are doing a superlative job at ongoing maintenance.
Recently renovated perfect for your basic wedding reception or birthday party parking lot is an easily accessible always be careful of street parking with a notorious numerous car break-ins hopefully they’ll have the first floor bathrooms in working order for your event but the overall atmosphere of this historic location will satisfy most needs
