I am writing as the mother-of-the-bride. We live out of town and had three months to plan the wedding, so we knew a wedding planner was imperative! We of course looked at the reviews and spoke with wedding planners in making our selection which is why I am writing my review. My daughter choose Nicol and Little Blue Box Weddings and it was the BEST decision. Nicol's description on her website sums it up better than I can: "We promise a fun planning process, flawless execution, unforgettable memories and the most amazing event you can imagine." Nicol and her team worked tirelessly to make this happen and it was flawless, unforgettable and beyond what we could have imagined! I wholeheartedly recommended Nicol and Little Blue Box Weddings as your wedding planning team!
We hired Nicol as our Month-off wedding coordinate, and this is the best decision we have made for our wedding. As the wedding became closer and closer, we were quite stressed as there were so many uncertainty with our vendors. It was Nicol who showed up a month before our wedding and suddenly everything was taken care of. Nicol is very well organized, experienced and considerate. We felt so much more relaxed with her help, and she would help us with whatever we asked for. Thanks to Nicol and her team, our wedding was really a big success and we could never make it and enjoy it so much without Little Blue Box Wedding. If you are ever looking for a wedding planner near Napa, Nicol is the best.
Little Blue Box Weddings is amazing! Nicol is so great to work with. We hired her as our month of coordinator and she made sure all of our vendors were on the same page and organized so our wedding run could run smoothly and so stress free! Michaela, our day of coordinator, was so great!! She set up all of our decorations so tastefully and handled all of the logistics on the day so my husband and I could actually just enjoy our wedding! I would highly recommend LBBW, I could not have done it without them!
We cannot recommend Nicol Turner and Little Blue Box Weddings highly enough. After talking to a number of different companies in the area, Nicol fought for our business from day 1 and continued to advocate for us at every step of our wedding planning process, which was well over a year. From planning venue visits, to recommending and negotiating with vendors, to tracking and begging cognizant of our budget, Nicol was ready for anything and handed it all. Especially planning a wedding from across the country, Nicol was invaluable. When it came time for our wedding day, we knew Nicol would take care of all the little details and she did. She clearly has great relationships and is well liked throughout the area. On our wedding day, seeing and celebrating with Nicol was like celebrating with a close friend. You could tell she wanted us to have a perfect day and enjoyed it just as much as we did. Two thumbs up, five stars, all of it. We heard about Nicol Turner and Little Blue Box Weddings from a relative who knew of her by her excellent reputation. In case you don’t want to read this entire review, we can tell you up front that we feel it was absolutely the best decision we could have made. Since neither of us wanted to take on planning our destination Napa wedding without major help, we knew that we wanted a full-service planner to help us all the way through, starting just over a year ahead of our wedding in July of 2017. As soon as we met and talked with Nicol, we felt at ease and comfortable. Ours would be a same-sex (male) wedding, so we also wanted to make sure that there would be no issues with our planner or with our vendors, and they were all great. We had a rough idea of what we were looking for in a venue, and Nicol showed us half a dozen or more different sites. Even though we couldn’t have articulated it in advance, we both knew our venue when we saw it, but it would require our guests to be transported to and from. With Nicol’s recommendations, this hurdle was easily overcome. Some of our more interesting requests were a caterer that could provide Kalua Pig for our ‘Aloha-themed’ reception and eight or so vintage 80s arcade games for entertainment. We really liked that Nicol was an ‘honest broker’ of relevant vendors. She had many vendors she had worked with and could recommend, but did not have an agenda to push certain vendors. In cases where we had no particular preference, she would make a recommendation, and all of her recommendations were great. We also really appreciated that early on she gave us an idealized timeline with a few tasks each month so no one month was overwhelming. Also based on her years of experience, the most important tasks from a scheduling/booking perspective were done earlier. The timeline was by months for the first 11 months or so, then week-by-week for the last month, and finally day-by-day for the final days. The beauty of this was that since we kept pretty much to the timeline, by the time the big day rolled around, we had virtually everything done, and we could just enjoy the event. Nicol was on-site for the event days and did an amazing job of scheduling, confirming, and coordinating all of the various vendors so that everyone and everything was where it needed to be when it needed to be there. In closing, we were happy beyond our most optimistic expectations with how our wedding and reception turned out. We could not give a stronger recommendation for Nicol & LBBW!
