I have always wanted my hair done in kicky twist. But I never could find anyone that could do a great job untill I came to LaBelle shop. She is so welcoming and friendly. My hair lasted for four months and know I'm back for second time. If your looking for great customer service and affordable braids come here
I got my first box braids done here. The owner of this business did my braids and she was very professional, since I called her to ask for information all the way to the incredible/beautiful braids. I have very thick and tons of hair. I usually get discouraged by Hairstaylist for this. The owner was very patient and experienced. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back again for braids.
If I was just rating the braids I got here they would easily be a 5 star review! The braids were gorgeous. But... I came to the shop at the scheduled time and it took more than an hour to get started. Altogether, I spent 11 hours here including the time it took for me to walk a block away and get pizza for lunch. There were two braiders, but only one worked on my hair even when the other one did not have any more clients. Also, they did not have any "prices." When I described what I wanted done they the owner said that the price was $350. I told them right away that I was sorry but I changed my mind and I got up to leave. The owner then told me all the reasons why that was the price, but asked me how much I thought it was going to be. When I told her I had never paid more than $200 for this style she instantly changed the price to $200 but said that it would be more in the future. I saw this with a few other people too and it seemed like she was trying to charge them the highest price that they would agree to. I would not consider her the most honest business woman. The last thing I will add is that the African movies that they played had sex scenes and inappropriate language. It didn't bother me, but it was kind of awkward when an elderly man old enough to be my grand-father was waiting to get his hair braided (she was an hour late getting started on him too) Again, braids were beautiful. Just expect them to start late and be prepared for some excessive prices.
If I had to rate the beauty of the braids, I would give 5 stars. BUT! This is not what I asked for. I showed Belinder a picture of what I wanted. I even said that I wanted the size braids of her employee. I said, “I like that size!” I wanted large individual braids, not extra-large and not jumbo. They gave me between small and medium, according to the pic I showed her of braiding sizes. I was sitting in that chair for 14 hours!! I did not eat breakfast because I thought I would be out of there in 5 hours tops for what I wanted. No way! The girl doing my hair was new and I do not fault her. She was new, but she was learning. She needed help! You have me stay there for 14 hours as a practice client for her!? You put her in a bad position! It is not her fault. She kept having to take the braid out and restart, because she was learning and wanted to do it right! But….here I sit and wait… And, then she tells me that it was $300! What!? $300 for something that I did not even want!? I saw her prices online and I was getting larger individual braids, which are not exactly listed. For individuals, it is $200 and up. Now, I will take that as my fault, because I should have come here to see the reviews first and asked before I let them touch my hair! However, I have never been charged $300 for braids even smaller than this. And, they are generally done much faster! It is sad because I was looking for my new braiding spot that I could go every few weeks, get my hair braided, and a place for my beauty supplies. This just is not the place. I wish it were different, but they put a bad taste in my mouth. So, if you want your hair done nicely, this might be your spot. Be prepared to be overcharged! And! Be prepared to spend your ENTIRE day! Bring some food and something to do.
My overall experience at labelle pro hair braiding is 5 stars ! They were professional friendly and my hair was done exactly how I asked and was very neat ! My husband loves it and I've been getting plenty of compliments , I'm very satisfied with my hair ! I'll definitely be coming back . Thanks again labelle !
