Talk about the epitome of small, minority, Black owned business! L. A. Coffee and Tea Bar was fantastic! I received my delicious, pour over coffee as if it was the only drink they planned to serve that day! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It features Black artists on the walls and while I was there, Prince was playing in the background. The music was loud enough so you could hear it, without being intrusive if you came to work or just have a conversation. The was a plaque by the register that read, "Just give me the coffee and nobody gets hurt." It perfectly reflects the playful mood with serious batista skills!
Tried this spot at an event as they had a hot cocoa station, and it’s a really cute idea for any events/parties you may want to host. The hot cocoa is a proprietary blend and had an extra velvetiness that you don’t get from the packets. They had customizations for the hot cocoa including whipped cream, marshmallows, and/or peppermint sticks. It’s more of a dessert than a drink (in the best way possible).
My new favorite coffee spot. Trying something new here made my whole day. I recommend taking recommendations she knows what tastes good. The vibes are wonderful and the place is beautiful and chill.
Found the place in Google maps. Coffee is very delicious. We got two espressos, those coffee is the best I ever tried in this area!! Fresh and tasty, it cozy and nice - definitely will stop by one more time when will be in area!!
The owner/cashier was friendly and welcoming. However, the coffee could be improved a bit better with taste. Decorations/ambient are a bit out-of-date.
