I feel really guilty giving this rating because the food is really good. The mac and cheese is off the chain. A lot of the sides are good. The ribs are off the chain. The brisk is pretty decent but here's the thing is I live in mission Bay and I will go out many times and it will just say the food truck closed or the windows will be closed. I get if you're taking a lunch break okay but I've come out three times in one day and the the trucks is closed which is not good and like I want to be a patron but it makes it hard.
This is a solid place to eat. The chicken was great and the sides were good too (Mac n cheese, collard greens). I will be back for sure.
Perhaps it was the signage in front of the truck that led me to believe I was going to get a plate of BBQ for my nearly $20, but the basket I received was underwhelming for the price.
Must say the ribs, chicken, tri tip are so good! Fallen gently off the bone!! fresh meat and taste yummy! Potato salad is to live for! Baked beans good mixture of sweetness and tangy!! Always hungry for the J&D bbq care!! 💘 it!
Great BBQ. Great selections. Their sauce is outta this world, just so finger licking good!
