Booked with ‘Faced by Janea’ online for my birthday make-up appointment and I was not disappointed! I appreciate her grace with me being a few minutes late the day of the appointment AND nicely sending over my invoice as I forgot to pay for my appointment within 24 hours as stated in policy. During my appointment we figured out a look I wanted and Janea did not disappoint. Make-up look lasted all day, didn’t cake and I received so many compliments :) Will definitely be recommending to others and will be returning myself when I need my face beat! Also has great, free parking!
I hired Janea in March for my October wedding. She was very responsive, and I quickly booked her with a $200 deposit. Leading up to our July trial I emailed her a few questions and she always responded very quickly. The trial went well. She was a bit rushed at the end of the service and there were a few things I wanted to tweak but I was excited to work with her. Exactly one month before my wedding, my planner reached out to her to discuss the day of schedule. Janea promptly responded and said, “Thank you for your email but unfortunately I make my own schedule for wedding day.” My planner responded with a few more questions, and Janea did not respond. Over the next three weeks my planner and I reached out to the Janea repeatedly via phone, email, Instagram. She did not respond. About 10 days before the wedding, I became very panicked and started to call & email daily. I was concerned that something had happened to her. 8 days out from my wedding, I still had not heard from her, so I secured another makeup artist. Janea finally responded via email 7 days before the wedding. She did not acknowledge her lack of customer service & professionalism and she did not apologize for the panic and stress that having a makeup artist basically ghost you 3 weeks before your wedding can cause. She acted like not responding to someone for 3 weeks, was standard business practice. At this point I had hired another makeup artist, so I asked for my deposit back and Janea refused because all deposits are non-refundable. She also suggested that I owed her the full cost of service, because I cancelled the service within 7 days. If you want a makeup artist that will respond to your emails or phone calls, I do not recommend Janea. She was not professional and provided terrible customer service. She is a talented make up artist but the lack of responsive was unacceptable.
Booked for my bday and paid a deposit. Found out day of, she wasn’t available and deposit wasn’t refunded. Unprofessional and rude!
I loved my makeup for my wedding day it was amazing. I looked very natural and elegant. I received alot of compliments-I will definently go back to@facedbyjanea! I highly recommend 10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
