I can't say enough good things about this salon. I'm NEVER kept waiting, very reasonably priced and my stylist GiGi is the ABSOLUTE BEST. Not only is she a fabulous talented hairdresser but she is such a lovely lady too. Braids, weaves, wigs, relaxers, Keratin, color, cut style...Gigi is my 'ride or die' for my hair.
First of all, I was 20 min late because of traffic and neither myself nor my Uber driver could find the establishment. It really blends in with the rest of Koreatown and Google maps sent us to the next intersection. Eventually, I found it just as someone was placing a large barber shop banner out front. I went in to get a fade as I’ve been traveling for work and desperately needed a cut. I specifically stated in the notes when I made the appointment that I wanted a fade - showed a picture when I arrived and everything. I get to the shop and there’s only one professional there, GiGi. She reminds me of my favorite stylist when I did bob & silk press styles in the fact that she’s able to handle long hair, but not fades. GiGi was a very nice person, but she’s not a barber. Or maybe she was a long time ago and her skills have lapsed. Thankfully, my hair grows fast and I wear scrub caps at work, so this foolishness will be grown out in about a week. Oh and then there was a 5 inch roach that popped up further solidifying my decision to not return to this business. Gigi claimed it was from the business next door. I hate leaving bad reviews for black businesses, but this simply could not be avoided. Don’t book female haircut here if you’re a woman looking for a fade. I can’t wait until I get back to Houston Response to the owner: No, GiGi deserves to be paid for her time, especially since I was late. And she was very kind and provided the service anyways. I appreciated that - and that’s what garnered the one star. I even provided a small tip. I didn’t “run to Google” or yelp for that matter. When she was cutting my hair, I did point out an inconsistent cut pattern and the part I requested wasn’t even solidified - no razor behind the blade. I made my concerns known at the time of service. I only left this review here on Google, not Yelp or anywhere else. Y’all stay blessed and be safe
The last time I went there I asked for a low fade and comb-over, my cut was worse than an Edgar cut, she tried to fix it and kept making it worse so I had to stop her, she doesn’t know how to cut hair and it’s the reason why I never went back.
Very expensive!!! $35 is crazy Reply to Owner: Appreciate the feedback. I didn't receive a shave. I was just charged $35 for the fade. Also, I get haircuts all over LA and still is the highest. I found places as low as $15 and the average is $25. Thank you for replying.
“One dream one team” works for me! This location is clean courteous and located in the heart of Koreatown. I can cut here & it’s Black owned full of good stuff to see while getting a haircut. SWEET!
