My experience with Dj castle was extremely poor. He was my wedding Dj and was hired through my photographer as she recommended him. Prior to my wedding day, he provided a DJ worksheet that entailed ALL the songs I wanted, artists I didn’t, aisle songs, father daughter dance, grand entry songs, every song for every event. The day of my wedding, the only successful playlist was the wedding party walk down the aisle, and myself. From there it was a complete disaster. After my husband and I were pronounced married, DJ castle fails to play any music as we walk down the aisle. It was complete silence. I have no idea why. I had provided him every song as he asked. My husbands mother had to turn to him and say, “play the music!” And he began playing literal elevator music. For every other song, for instance the father daughter dance he was going to play a song called cow boys and angels. Thankfully my wedding planner decided to double check with him to ensure he knew what he was doing and he did not. I have never heard a song called cowboys and angels in my life. During the reception, he played zero songs I had requested. I had to rush to his set up and say “okay can you play this, can you play this” and on and on and on. After speeches, instead of resuming music he would keep silent. So the transitions were very awkward, luckily my family were good sports. He had some girl with him who I have no idea who she was, maybe a girlfriend but she had nothing to do with the wedding. To top it all off, DJ castles equipment ended up just completely breaking all together. The music stopped permanently, and he scrambled to fix it but couldn’t. Unfortunately, my wedding coordinator had distributed tips prior to the end of the wedding, otherwise he would’ve received nothing. I want more than anything to receive ALL my money back. He took something so special from me as he had one job, to play music I requested and he failed to do it. I would say I would’ve rather kept his equipment and just plugged my phone in for the wedding, but even his equipment was faulty. I do not recommend DJ castle as a DJ for any event, especially a wedding. I’m not sure why he was recommended and I take fault for being too trusting with my photographer.
Best DJ ever! Always a great time with Castle! He is energetic, full of great music, and is one awesome dj! Highly recommend for any occasion. No one better!
