I had a therapist and things were going well. However, something happened (unbeknownst to me as a client) and my therapist was leaving this particular office. The owner (I assume) called and she basically said "She's no longer here. Are you going with her or staying with us?". I said if her new place can't take my insurance, I'll be back. I was going to try and go with my therapist as she already knew everything. The reasons of my tears and fears. She was already there, helping me. So yeah, I wanted to stick with her. I didn't want to start over and rehash the things I'm trying to heal from. Unfortunately, her new office couldn't take my insurance. I called new beginnings back multiple times and left a message. Nothing. No call back, no we've decided not to work with you because you went with her. Nothing. Like kids stuck in the middle of a nasty divorce. While they're in the middle of whatever issue they had, and feeling bitter? People still need help. That's why they came to you in the first place. So now I have to start over COMPLETELY, instead of just with a new person when it was already hard to ask for help in the first place. Thank you NB.

I've been in therapy for a long time. With various people. I finally found NBHT by chance. I have been blessed to work with Yakitta on trama, and personal healing. Yakitta has an understanding on a professional and spiritual level. She has been reliable and consistent with a fair amount of flexibility. She also has the ability for tufflove. I have recommended her and her office many time and will share it with those that will listen. You will not feel alone or lost !

I absolutely love this clinic! I was a client for over 2 years and I learned so much and gained so many skills. Yakitta truly is a life saver and will change your life. If you are ready to take a deep dive into your healing process and begin your therapeutic journey then this is where you go.

From a former employee perspective, I’ve learned that NBTH exhibits unethical practices in many areas. Examples include termination without adequate warning(s) or reason, intentional Harm to clients (abandonment) caused by refusing to allow the therapist to properly terminate the therapy process with the client(s), and failure to provide exiting documents following employee termination (such as providing the therapist with accumulated work hours for licensure, copies of achieved certificates, etc.). {As an LPCC, NBTH was my first place of employment upon completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling}. There seems to be a high turnover rate of male therapists employed with this company which (in my opinion) suggests gender bias, in which this company is operated/owned by a female with predominantly (if not solely) consisting of female employees.

Real love this therapy clinic! I love that some Of the providers are christian and work with my belief system. They have helped me really work through some of my issues and they accept Medicaid! They offer EMDR which I am Looking forward to trying. It’s some of the best therapy I’ve had in a long time. Each therapist really takes time to get to know their clients and what mental help they can offer to help with inner turmoil. Highly recommend!!!
