Nice owner, really nice inside, good location, parking available. Full bar, and a nice variety on the menu. We tried the catfish and the gumbo and it was pretty good. We ate it so fast I forgot to take photos. Next time. Here is a picture of the gumbo.

If you are coming from out of state and want real authentic soul food I highly recommend them! I am from the south and this is by far the best soul food restaurant I have tried. I went after the Broncos game not knowing that the kitchen would be closed, my husband explained to the owner how we were traveling and he ended up letting us order what we wanted when I say THE BEST I mean the GREATEST food I have had in a long time and the customer service made it feel even more at home. I will be back EVERYTIME I come back to Denver.

Black owned restaurant with delicious, SEASONED eats in Denver with an intimate ambiance. The food portions are Texas sized, prepared fresh to order & reasonably priced. Got the chance to meet the master chef/owner and his wife and they were super congenial and welcoming. Missed the "Boom Boom Room" the night before, but I was told it's live music with all the vibes. There are 2 bars and a piano for extra upscale-y vibes & restroom facility was very clean! Definitely recommend adding this to the list of places to visit in Denver.

Good turkey leg with yams and the catfish was cooked and seasoned well. Nice cute little southern establishment. Took a long time to receive our food but I understand the food is made to order. It was worth the wait.

I give this place overall a two-point star rating because these foos had the nerve to charge me and my wife almost $100 just for two dinners and an extra two piece catfish. The meals we had were a chicken dinner which was a four piece and two slices of bread and one side that was $20 a catfish shrimp combo that was $27 and then an extra two piece catfish that was $22 and then we bought one extra side which was like five or six dollars I think ..first and foremost the prices are a little bit extreme for just one side to go wit the meal.. and then on top of that, if you did the math that doesn't add up to 95.00 but yet some way somehow these Foos trumped up our receipt to be $95.. now if you wondering if the food was good and worth that much, no, no it wasn't. It was mid at best and that's coming from a guy that's from Chicago born and raised so I know soul and flavor.. but besides all that the Waiters are cool people i just think it's overpriced for what it's worth basically..
