Montego is a easy to miss black owned bar located in the art district. There's a lounge upstairs that's occasionally open. The djs & promoters vary so it's varying degrees of busy to slow. The bartenders & staff are always very nice & accomadating. The foods very good even though there can be a bit of wait on busier night's. The bar is solid and reasonably priced, Check them out Wednesdays & weekends.
This place serves super flavorful food. The staff made me feel like we where family and remembered my name when i came back a 2nd time. Highly recommend this place for events
This location is great, close proximity to my residence but easily accessible and easy to find. The vibe inside of the restaurant was warm and the staff was friendly and inviting. The owner offered great conversation as well. The food was wonderful. I also tried the jollof rice which being Nigerian, to please is no easy feat. I enjoyed it thoroughly! The plantain was fried to perfection the way I like it! Will definitely return! I got the curry snapper with plantain and cabbage. The price points are also great!
We came a 15 minutes before it closed. The owner allowed us to stay for dinner. The food was good and reasonably priced. I'm definitely coming for the grand opening on September 8th. I had the curry chicken, rice & peas, cabbage, and fried plantains. My friend had the pepper steak and mashed sweet potatoes. I didn't get a picture of his plate.
Very honored to have been part of the revitalization of the Charles and North Ave area. This will be this generations Odells with a sophistication.
