This was my first time getting my hair braided here and I was very pleased. Hawa and Mary were very helpful in setting up my appointment, and Mary did such an amazing job. She was so kind and attentive as well. I would definitely go back to this shop.
Great experience and great service! Today Mary did small traditional box braids. She worked quickly and the braids came out perfectly. This was my first time visiting this hair studio and I plan on returning again. I highly recommend them!

I have been going to African Hair Braiding by Hawa for a long time. I love the way they braid my daughter’s hair and how comfortable she is at the salon. Last week one of the stylists was able to braid my very short hair. I was very impressed.
Saw bad reviews for a bunch of braiders at other places so my coworker recommended me to go here. Called on Sunday at 5p and I had an appointment easyy for Monday at 1p! I was low key stressed bc I go on vacation soon but I shouldn’t have worried. I came in with my hair washed (bc I prefer my own products/process) and Oma blowdryed + braided knotless boho braids. I wanted them close to my chest and she did amazingly clean parts with just the right amount of tension to be freshly tight but not TOO tight. It took about 6hrs with just one person which I’m happy with since it usually takes me a day and a half to braid, twist or faux loc my own hair. I don’t get my hair braided often but when I do, I’ll be coming back here! I brought a book and charged phone but, they had p good reception and a TV on playing afrobeats half the time >>>
