Ordered vegan chocolate cake-pops for my wedding. Amazing communication with Benne, price was right, and they were the most mouth watering, moist, delicious, bite-sized pieces of cake (with vegan chocolate icing!) this bride could ask for. She even asked my colors and added a bit of food-safe metallic decoration which looked amazing. HIGHLY recommend.
I jumped at the opportunity to buy a 4” cake when they went on sale, think they were trying out new designs. And this cake did not disappoint! It was super cute and incredibly tasty. They were also easy to work with and very customer oriented. Highly recommend!
Cause who doesn't like oreo cookie brownies! I got to taste their treats at the Chocolate Festival in Denver. Super treats. Super friendly employees.
We ordered a chocolate cake with oreo filling for my daughter's 7th birthday (a big class party). It needed to be Dairy Free. We were told that would be fine and that everything in the bakery is gluten free. We're not allergic to gluten but are very familiar with and have used GF products for over a decade. We placed the order and confirmed pick up time. We then bought more treats so we could try them before to make sure we like them (cake pops)--they were good. Communication was very minimal, she didn't ask many questions and I was left to ask what I thought she might need. Later, I added an order of 24 cookies ($80 for 24!!). Day of the party: we pick up the cake from a guy who says he knows nothing, we were given no instructions on what to do with it (fridge? counter?) and the cookies did NOT match the photo of what they are supposed to be online. Fine, whatever, we move on. We keep the cake in the fridge to protect the frosting, then at the indoor venue on the counter for 2hours. Time to cut the cake... IT'S STILL FROZEN. She had baked it the day before and froze it but didn't tell me. The frosting was indeed good, but no one could eat the cake--our disposable forks wouldn't pierce the frozen cake at all. Talk about 30+ disappointed guests and kids!! 5 hours later at home, it finally thawed enough to try... it was the worst cake I've ever tried. I genuinely think she missed an ingredient because it was not sweet at all, crumbled if you touched it, and everyone agreed it tasted more than just bad. We cook with grain free, wheat-free flours all the time and have never created that kind of cake. When I brought up my concerns, I was told 1) I must be new to gluten free cooking and just don't understand, 2) she ignored the fact that even though her messengers says everything is Gluten Free, the cake pops were not and that's why *I* was confused--she took no responsibility, 3) to please send photos (I did), and 4) asked how I thawed it (and then didn't respond after I told her how). That was it. I offered to bring back what we had so she could see it, but that was declined. Her confidence that this horrible cake was totally fine is shocking. She then offered $25 back for the "inconvenience". Throwing a huge party and not having a cake to serve was SO embarrassing and more than just an inconvenience. In the end, I paid over $140 (assuming the refund comes in) for 24 cookies that weren't big, weren't fancy, didn't look like the online photos, and literally were just regular cookies. The cake was a total loss. I'm especially concerned that she says everything is Gluten Free in her bakery, but serves wheat and gluten-containing products. I'm so glad we do not react to gluten-- but that is definitely not the case for everyone!
If you're looking for absolutely delicious treats that are also vegan and allergy friendly, then look no further! These are some of the best desserts I've had! As a bonus, the owner is so talented and such a lovely person to be around ❤️
