Do yourself a favor and don’t bother. Go to Bertie’s or Mikey’s before coming here. First time buying from this location, wanted to try it. Two orders of jerk chicken, and what a DISAPPOINTMENT!!! More mac and cheese than anything else, boneless chicken (only 3 small pieces) and dry. Not worth the $32 I spent. Go ANYWHERE else but here!!!!!
After a very LONG wait and everything priced at least $5 more for each item on top of the online menu prices, this food was HORRIBLE. The chicken wasn’t fried long enough and it tasted as if three people seasoned it. The Mac and cheese was extremely wet and over seasoned. The rice was extremely wet and all you can taste is the coconut. Overall, the food was extremely disappointing and a waste of my money and time.
Excellent customer service, very tasty and delicious. The waffle are to die for!. I highly recommend this restaurant to all food lovers for an exceptional meal and.Extraordinary presentation. Most restaurants just throw the food into a plate, not at uncle T's! Very family friendly and customer satisfaction is their #1 goal!
I went here for the first time, me being Jamaican I love to support my Caribbean people. Let me start off by saying I waited a while for my food, people who came after me received their food before me. When I did finally receive my food some of my order wasn't in there so I had to wait a little longer. I tasted it once I got into my car and it definitely wasn't worth the wait, it was under seasoned and very distasteful. It tasted like they were beginner's at cooking Caribbean food. I never went back and never will go back.
We went for breakfast and ordered the shrimp and grits. It took awhile because we did not call it in. It came with eggs and toast. I did not enjoy the shrimp and grits, I was very disappointed. The grits were a bit stiff, no seasonings. Usually, a gravy or sauce from the shrimp season the grits but the shrimp were grilled. My sister had a strand of hair in her eggs. I did order the jerk chicken, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread to go. My sister also ordered the jerk chicken and stewed chicken. She liked the jerk chicken but did not like the stewed chicken. I loved the jerk chicken, rice and peas and vegetables but my plantain was left out. The rice had a nice hint of coconut. The collard greens were a little undercooked for me. The Mac and cheese was mostly cheese and was very salty. The cornbread was good. If I go back, I would order the jerk chicken meal.
