Diversity hires, literally these people are slacking because of "COVID". Online sessions have other members in the therapist household during the telehealth session, making noises and being abruptly rude and disrespectful. If you're supposed to receive a 1 hour session, therapists here LOVE to cut short the time. Therapists also utilize session time to do personal tasks with that same "cut off" time that's never fufilled. Literally if you're looking for some serious professional therapy who aren't "bougie", please go elsewhere. You'll thank me later 🤗😊
Avoid this place. They played games with my med-appointments drawing things out just to ultimately tell me that they can't provide for me. Therapy appointments feel rushed and the "Service Coordinator" isn't very uncoordinated and comes off quite passive aggressive. Just absolutely NOT how a person who is looking for therapy and med management should be made to feel.
My card was charged over $200 for services that had been provided almost 11 months ago. While this falls within their rights to do so, it would have been nice to be made aware prior to being charged, in case an account was overdrawn or that money was needed for emergencies. I also never received any statements throughout the entirety of being seen here and there is no way to check your account/billing status online. This review is not directed at the quality of the counseling services but at the way that my interaction was conducted. On the bright side, everyone I talked to was pretty friendly.
Stay away! I had a phone consultation scheduled, got a message an hour before reminding me of it but I never got the phone call. Two hours later I get an email with no apology and no explanation but asking me to reschedule. I figure things happen and I will give them another chance. I have another consultation scheduled and confirmed but the same thing happens, no call. This time there is not even a message, no apology, no explanation, NOTHING! They are completely unprofessional and unreliable. Don't waste your time like I did.
I am so happy I've found this place the staff at SMPsychotherapy really take the time to pull back the layers and show compassion and empathy during my rough time. If you're struggling with anxiety and depression this is the place to be. Micaela and Marisol are a blessing... They take the time and use great judgment plus very easy to talk to. I will never go anywhere else.. Thank you!!!
