Went to restaurant, during open hours, & door was locked. I called, they answered, unlocked the door (a few fruit flies flew out immediately) & let me in. They were waiting on an extra staff member to cook food, so I had to wait a little bit. Ordered the combo for 1 ($16). Nice size portion, cheap price. Lentils were the only item that wasn't bland. I've never tasted Ethiopian that wasn't seasoned well. Injera was stale, not soft and fluffy. The honey wine ($9) was sweet, so no complaints. Restaurant had a few locals, there all the time. Homeless guy entered & he was immediately asked to leave after about 1 min of arguing. I got the check, saw an unfamiliar charge ($5.5). Waitress said they charged for the tip automatically. With the tax, I got a $33 bill when I thought it would be $23 (pre-tip). Would've definitely went back to the Ethiopian restaurant (Chercher was 0.5 miles away) I visited a day ago if I knew all this.
My first time ever trying Ethiopian food and I👏🏽am👏🏽blown👏🏽away. The bread The beed The rice The chicken The beed The coffee Just simply amazing
Tasty, great price, and has an Ethiopian sports bar feel to it (we did go during Sunday Night Football). Only minor complaint was that it sometime took some time for them to visit our table, but the taste and price more than make up for it!
This seems to be a local Ethiopian eatery where a lot of Ethiopians come to socialize. It was amazing sitting and watching them interact with each other as the come and go like family. I basically had a Vegetarian meal with injera and a samosa. The food was well seasoned and great as it should be cooked by Ethiopians. My server was very nice and attentive. I would definitely go back!!!
Delicious Ethiopian food! The service was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. We had such a good visit! It is definitely a cozy neighborhood spot.
