Our favorite stop on our road trip north. Excellent flavors, service, and look at the presentation! Bella, our waitress, was outstanding! Very attentive and kind to us.
The atmosphere was relaxing, not too close nor loud. The music was apparent. The staff was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. The beverages were fantastic. Truly this was one of best meals we have had in a long time. Portions were great. Thank for a wonderful experience.
My husband and I walked over to Island Spice from our hotel as after traveling we didn't feel like driving anywhere and I'm all for anything convenient. However, I had no idea that I was about to eat at my favorite restaurant of our trip. The first night we ordered the pineapple ginga chicken with rice and peas (beans) at the recommendation of our lovely waitress Bella D. She was super personable and just a delight to talk to! We also ordered the macaroni and cheese as an extra side. Every bite was delicious and the rice and peas could have easily been its own meal. We ended our trip here as well and ordered the rasta pasta with shrimp. Again, every bite was full of flavor! The sauce used could be served on anything and I would eat it. I also really love the attention to plate detail, not many restaurants take the time to make delicious food and cute plates. The rasta pasta literally said that in sauce. Island Spice is such a fun place! Seating inside and outside are available and there is also a bar area. They had live music on Saturday night, which I really enjoyed! If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely make time to stop by!
Firt time visitors, FINALLY. Maggie was an excellent server. When we told her it was our first visit, she took her time explaining some of her favorite recommendations. She also answered all of our questions. The food was delicious and we took all of Maggie's suggestions (wings, salmon bites, and the chicken curry). I also got the fried coconut shrimp, which was amazing. My girl's always tease me that I cook/eat like a white woman (hello that's me - someone who was raised with a dad who liked bland food. At least I'm game and always try new food, at least once🤣). So they were shocked when I sent pictures of where we were! Hubby who loves spicy food couldn't finish his chicken curry because his nose was running so bad. I swooped in and finished it. Thanks again for an enjoyable dinner!
This was outstanding food! I had the shrimps and it was delicious! So good and so worth stopping by. The staff is super nice and helpful. Loved it!Thank you!
