The food was very good, hands down. However, the price for the side portions, especially the mac and cheese was disappointing. I paid $7 for a side of mac and cheese that came in a container which other restaurants use for condiments like ketchup and mustard. The cornbread was very good. It was a nice size. I had the fried calamari. If you love peppers, there was plenty that came with the calamari. However, if you don't like peppers, you can get the dish without them. Unfortunately, I did not realize this until after I was talking with the staff member. On the street parking is located behind the restaurant. It's in the same stop where clouds 9 was way back in the day. The staff was nice and the wait time for our food was very fast. Overall, a great experience with the exception of the mac and cheese portion size.
Went for Brunch, No Mimoas, No Bilini, No brunch specials on drinks at ALL, they have a drink tower for $65. The atmosphere was nice, music was good, food was good, drinks was good, service was good. My only complaint is how long it took for my food to come out. I would go again, hopefully my food won't take too long. Went again this time for dinner and I must say, the food is one of the best Soul food I've had in CT, everything was made to perfection, drinks were good, service got better, added as one of my go to soulfood spots.
The g@y bendtender and his manager tried to argue with me About everything that I did not agree with tonight, including the fact that my croutons were burnt. I had to take my salad home and compare their croutons to a regular crouton Just to make sure I wasn’t the crazy one. They remade the salad more than once and I just didn’t want to keep the issue going so I just told him I liked it. No, the salad isn’t the only issue tonight. But seeing how I drove over an hour here for the third time, for bad service and no DJ TWICE. I’m never coming back here again. I posted my review here and on my YouTube channel. Nice vibe! (Even though no DJ on a Saturday night 🙃🤦♀️) Celebrated a 🎉🥳🎈birthday had dinner with 13 other people food was very good lightly fried whitings mac and cheese, yams, Steak and Calamari. Food came out at different times (room for improvement) great customer service by our server Deserae and Shawnae made excellent chocolate martini's 🍸🍫♥️😘 at the bar, so much so I ordered 3 as they were strong and on point! I don't like the parking situation as it was kind of confusing but will definitely visit again
My daughters took me for my 48th Birthday. What an amazing time. The atmosphere and energy was warm felt like I was at home. The food was just delicious. I haven’t enjoyed a meal from a restaurant in a long time. But this place was absolutely the best. Highly recommend. Brittany our waitress was awesome! I will be back soon. When I say everything was BaNGiNG! Make you wanna slap your momma!!! Must try! Cheers to Guily Kitchen!
