Ebony is the best-hands down. She's been taking care of my natural hair for years. I am never going to another salon ever! Plus, it's a one stop shop with lashes, mani, pedi, a braider, and the shop is beautiful. The other stylists are wonderful, polite, and the whole team is truly working in their gifts and experts in the profession. Excellence is here.
Good cut, lovely service, clean comfortable salon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. When I messaged on instagram to ask for a barber cut, I was invited to call on the phone the next day. The next morning, someone answered the phone promptly and offered me a same-day appointment. I entered the salon and two people cheerfully greeted me "hello!" The lady at the register smiled and said my stylist would be right with me. She asked me to disinfect my hands and showed me to a velvet couch with gold-embroidered pillows (no joke!) There was tasteful music playing at a comfortable volume on the salon loudspeakers. I only waited about 10 minutes till the previous customer was done. Then my stylist gave me a lovely cut and chatted with me about this and that. It was a warm and friendly experience. I felt happy to give a 50% tip afterwards. And after I left, two people complimented my hair on the street and in the shops. Thank you Ebony for a wonderful welcome to New Haven!
The salon has a beautiful atmosphere, which is so welcoming. The staff are so nice and professional. They really care about the needs and benefits for their clients. It’s so clean!!!!!! There should be one in every major city!! My stylist Shont was sent to me from GOD, she put a closure in that looked like my scalp! Also, the lady that washed my hair, Lordy felt like I was at a spa! I have to say I had such a great experience at this salon. Just walking in everyone greeted me with a smile. I was super nervous about coming to get my hair done because I have fine 4c hair that I thought had a lot of breakage and heat damage. Izzy had such a wonderful energy and made me feel so comfortable. He was super relatable and also educated me on my hair (It was just really dehydrated). Every time I go to a hair dresser they cuss me out on why my hair looks the way it looks but Izzy did the complete opposite and helped me fall back in love with my hair. I have been feeling super sad and depressed and I hadn’t smiled and laughed in a while but he made me laugh and simply just tried to get to know me. Thank you so much Izzy for what you did for me today. God is going to keep on blessing you! ♥️ I must also in put the other hair dressers were super welcoming and down to Earth. 10/10
