I loved everything I ordered. I'm picky about winhs. I LIVE for smoked wings from south, & juiciness of a good marinade, the Cola wings had both. They were quick to replace side dish that tasted off compared to how amazing other rice & vegetables were. Love a restaurant that stands by the quality of their food & when I got replacement was as good as others- The rice is so unique & tasty. Remind me of my favorite lunch break at Trader Joe's - Japanese Sticky Rice. Better tho. I can't waitbto try rest of flavors. They are take out only, but would be nice for a small table & chairs bar style like other take out spots for waiting.
Disclaimer: I never give 5-stars as I feel that there’s always room for improvement. So a 4 stars from me is GREAT!! So check out the review below. First, let’s talk about the awesome customer service I received, which started at the first phone call. Yes, pleasant salutation and great phone etiquette. We chuckled and I felt welcomed. Then the in-person pick up went very smooth and customer service was on point; I even chatted with the Mimi who was very personable and inviting. The decor as this spot is Instagram worthy - which had once of those great greenery walls and a neon sign, barn style door to the kitchen, and barn style menu signage. Considering we’re still in pandemic mode, they had the payment system setup so customers could still use their credit/debit but not directly up on the counter, which made me feel more comfortable and was a great way to social distance. Now, let’s get to the food - wings were BOMB!! I went for the sweet & tangy (wet) and bomb (dry) flavors, both of which were very good. Even my granddaughter (8) enjoyed it and she’s picky. They gave me this side sauce to try that I believe Mimi called Cape Verde (jalapeño base), which was very good and not too spicy. I also got the bomb rice, although I couldn’t eat it because it came with avocado (I’m allergic and not their fault). And that honey buttered cornbread was so delicious!! Overall, I have to say this spot was a slam dunk and was a pleasant surprise and experience. I will definitely be going back to try more wing flavors and a different rice bowl. I give them a firm 4 stars and can’t wait to go back again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*** Black Owned Business *** I’m Black, for the culture small of that. Service was cool, food was just okay, but I will try again. The lemon pepper wings were decent nothing special nothing exciting. The Peruvian rice looked interesting, I didn’t try it. However I was told it was nothing special. The shirmp… I thought they were friend, so that was my fault for not asking. With them being grilled… the flavor didn’t stick to them the way I wanted BUT… the were good. Not amazing but everything can’t be a home run. I loved the grilled flavor on the shrimp. The tots were good but that didn’t constitute as side. Cool ambience, good music, no dine in option, deserts were depleted. Limited drink menu. Standard food wait. Try it and let me know what you think.
So I ordered this last night hoping this would taste good. Guys if you doubted them like I did, just go for it and thank me later. This was the Bobcat rice and when I say wow…. Amazing. I had to stop myself and save some for the next day so I can enjoy it all over again( plus I was super full) I’m small so I get full fast. The flavor was amazing. I’m from New York so I would say my expectation is high for some kinds of food but I’m soooo glad I found this place. Will def be my go to place for food. My staple restaurants are now this restaurant and Geronimos. But this was pure heaven.
I’m leaving 3 stars because normally bomb wings doesn’t disappoint and we order from the ALL of the time! But today!! Today was NOT a good day. As you can see by the photo of my daughters rice bowl…the avocado isn’t doing well…at all. Why would they even include that!? The large order of fat boy fries was simply a regular size order placed into a large fry box…either that or they’ve decreased their portions drastically. The cornbread that’s usually warm, moist and delicious was almost inedible. I’m talking super hard! This again leaves me to the question….why include it? I love you Bomb Wings but for the amount of money we spend dining at your establishment, we should at least expect fresh food….actually regardless of how much is spent, fresh food should be a given! Hoping they were just having a bad day, as we love to support our black owned businesses!
