I really enjoyed this atmosphere. I thought the location was perfect . I was pleasantly surprised by the live music that played throughout the evening. I was there for a chamber meeting.
Had dinner reservations for 6:30. Were seated at 6:30. Once we received our bill we noticed we were charged for a shrimp dinner and an order of fries that we did not order or have. We were refunded for the dinner but not the fries. In addition - we were charged a $ 40 cover charge. They stated that because they have a cover charge effective at 7:00 and we were still seated - we were therefore charged the cover. Their reservation site said nothing about a cover. A sign at the door said there was a cover charge beginning at 7:00, We assumed that because we arrived at 6:30 that the cover would not apply to us. Food was very good. BE CAREFUL of billing for food not received and the cover charge!!
Cool spot with a good cover band. The food was good but nothing amazing. They had a fire alarm go off the entire time I was eating. The crab cakes were tasty.
Excellent toilet paper (Charmin). There is nothing remarkable about the food. I ordered shrimp cocktail and it was served in a "shot" glass. Very unsophisticated. The owners are gentlemen and kind. They have the "last" sound system; excellent microphones. It sounded like the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. They have "no" piano. (Such a drag.) They seem to favor a nice older gay crowd. The mean age seemed to be 70 - 80.
Wonderful family run restaurant. Met the owners brother, Mel and his wife out shopping. Hope to see Mel and his wife there at Sydney's, and we as well as our children had the best time! It was so amazing to have the acceptance of my TBI son- others got up to dance with him. It was truly a pleasure 🙏 thank you for a wonderful evening. Heather, Dan, and the kidlets.
