First off, this place has an almost speakeasy style to it and I am all about that. The entrance is in the back and down stairs from the ground level. Close enough to a speakeasy for me. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat at the bar. Probably going to make a reservation next time, but still... not bad. As far as the service, they were understaffed but you couldn't tell because they were working hard to keep up and succeeding at it. Big shout-out to the bartender who was making drinks, bussing tables, and serving food. I wish I got her name so I could put it in here. But she was the MVP of an all-star crew. Speaking of the bartender, the drinks were amazing. We got a spicy bloody Mary and a Brunch Old Fashioned. Best Old Fashioned I have EVER had. And I am such a connoisseur of bourbon that I should be concerned about my liver. Food wise, we got the Fried Chicken Benedict and the Friends with Benedict. Mine, the FWB, came on a baguette. And excellent touch because is absorbed the flavor from the shrimp and the eggs perfectly. We will come back, we will make a reservation, and we will continue to tip well.
A very cool vibe, Really Delicious food! Came in for a friends birthday & all the servers were fantastic! Drinks were delicious! Definitely wanna come back and try other things on the menu!
1861 is AMAZING! Our server, Sally, was awesome. She was very attentive, provided great recommendations, and showed her knowledge of the menu and establishment. The food was sooo good! The cornbread is a must-try! Smac & Cheese - GET IT!! The sweet chilli garlic wings - can’t pass these up!! Chicken & Waffles - don’t get me started! Also had the Smoked Old Fashioned. This was brought to our table and smoked right in front of us. This added so much to the experience! The speakeasy vibes of this place are AMAZING and we’ll definitely be returning!
I had my birthday party here and the vibe was amazing. From the owner Ashley to the food to everything. I really enjoyed this experience so much more so because it was at this establishment. Thank you to Ashley and everyone for making the day amazing.
Did someone say AMAZING!!? Service was quick, the atmosphere was top notch, polite staff, and most of all, the food and bourbon bar were to die for. F.Y.I, this was the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The picture shows how fantastic this sandwich looks, but my taste buds were exhausted from the fantastic combination between the pimento cheese, Buffalo sauce, perfectly seasoned crispy chicken and house made pickles. Top this off with an I.P.A, and you're on your way to sleepy town 😴 thanks for the great experience 1861.
