The desserts are pretty good although some of the items could be more flavorful and prepared better. The scones were awful-they didn't have much of a flavor and were so dry! Water couldn't even quench my thirst! The cupcakes were really good especially the champagne and the chocolate ones. The service was pretty lack luster. Nothing special and seemed somewhat detached. I'm not sure if i would return but it was a relatively nice visit that satisfied my sweet tooth. (The cassava is overtly devastatingly sweet)
Always love to support Black owned/run businesses, but for the confections to be award winning, I was a bit disappointed. The shop is located on a cute street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, but be aware - there’s no place in the shop to sit to enjoy your treat.
It was so excited to get cupcakes from here, but they moved locations and gave little to no info about the new one. Once we finally found it they had fruit flies alllll over the cupcakes and macrons. She saw me see the fruit flies and still grabbed them.. my total was 28 dollars..and when we were leaving a women came in and asked if her matcha latte had oat milk or almond and one of employee said “I don’t know” she then said she had an allergy. This place sucked so bad please don’t waste your money.
Ordered the assorted Vanilla, assorted chocolate and assorted. Pretty good cupcake if you are in to a more coarse crumb texture similar to a cornbread muffin. Some think the texture is dry some love it, it all depends on personal taste In my opinion, the flavor that they need to eliminate from the menu is the one with the graham crackers at the bottom...it makes the cupcake super dry and undesirable.
I was just curious to try these cupcakes because their texture and design look so yummy! I picked up a chocolate/vanilla which didn’t feel very fresh, maybe It’s because I got there right before closing and the cake was sitting there for long but it tasted like it was there all day! On the other side, the piña colada was so soft and yummy; I regret not taking 2 of this! I think price is fair for the amount!
