I’ve been seeing Diane and a few other great stylists at the salon for over a decade. Diane is absolutely amazing. She is careful with my natural curls as I have been natural for about 4 years now. I legit don’t let anyone else style my natural hair at this point. Diane is amazing for blow out, color, style…anything! She’s worth the $$$$$ every time because I know I’m going to look good every time! If you’re looking for a stylist that won’t disappoint (and if the rare time I’m not satisfied she always works to fix it beyond what is required) I would 100% recommend Diane! Also, her other stylists are great too. Olga and Giselle have honorable mentions because they are exceptional and always put my hair first. I love you all over there at cole stevens!!!
Amazing experience. First time Going to a hair salon and I just went for detangling. Ashley was so patient with me. Kept asking me am I okay and she managed to detangle my long 4c hair so quickly when usually it would take me the full day to make a good dent. She saved me from the verge of free form locs. So glad I found this salon. Very friendly staff. I am a Muslim Hijabi so I was worried that I would be in an exposing environment but they covered my area with a big screen. Ashley gave me many tips and advice, much respect and love. I will definitely be back and hope others do as well.
No heat damage every! Best silk press on natural hair, best overall haircare. Me and my daughter never go wrong!
As a natural I have been doing my own hair but I have been looking for a salon that knows what to do with my hair. I loved my experience at Cole Stevens Salon. I felt welcomed and acknowledged upon entry. I was given a coat and taken to begin my hair in no more than 15 min. Lauren did such a great job washing my hair. She prepared the station and continued to make sure I was enjoying my wash experience. Lauren made sure the water and pressure was okay. She didn't leave me at the bowl long either. Everyone assits each other here and I can tell it is a great working environment. Renee is a MASTER with the clippers. Thanks so much again for my beautiful haircut. Carolyn did a great job styling my hair. They are truly a dream team. They both took great care of me and made me feel so good about my hair. I was even given new hair products to try when styling my own hair. Overall, I was in and out in an AMAZING 3 hours tops!! I will be back to see you all! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Cole Stevens Salon". I am excited to embrace and take on 2023 with my new haircut.
First experience with this salon was back in February, I booked a curly cut. They check you in, check your temp and give you a smock. My stylist wasn’t in at the moment, so had to wait an additional 20 min prior to being taken care of. Things happen, so I brushed it off. The salon is very spa like, very relaxing environment which I loved. I was shampoo’d then my hair was cut and styled, my hair was styled with mousse and for my hair type, mousse just doesn’t work, but I knew I’d end up going home and styling it myself again as this has been my experience most times when I go to a salon and receive a curly cut. Once I went home and styled it, I loved the shape of my cut, so I was generally satisfied. I attempted to schedule an appt in April for color services which resulted in a lot of back and forth phone calls between myself and the receptionist to confirm all the details of my appt, to ultimately result in me being told there was actually no available appt at all. Weird. Fast forward to my most recent appt, booked a curly cut/flat twist/hydration treatment. I get to the bowl after waiting 30 min and am asked if it’s ok to blow dry my hair straight, for a curly cut?? Fast forward my hair is blow dried, then cut, mind you the first time I received a “curly” cut by this stylist it was done wet, guess she wanted to save time. I ended up being charged way more than expected for this simple blow dry. Went home and the next day remove my flat twist and realized she had placed rubber bands in the middle of each flat twist, which were a nightmare to take off. I wish she would have asked me first. I think if you’re a “straight” natural this salon is for you. If you’re requesting your hair to be styled in its natural state good luck, does not seem to be their niche, atleast at the greenbelt location. Most of the natural hair women at this salon I noticed were receiving silk press treatments and I guess that’s for a reason.
