Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke so we had to go to the front desk and change rooms. Why are smokers so selfish to ruin a room for others. The next room was fine. The location was great for our event. We booked the 80th anniversary package which included a bottle of wine, some nice chocolates, and an $80 food credit which essentially paid for our breakfast. If you order the breakfast buffet, a made to order omelette is included. It was so delicious!
This is a wonderful hotel with great hospitality, and a great staff. Valerie and others made sure our stay was fantastic. Our room had a great view of the lights and surroundings, and was very spacious for our stay. Loved the beds....as usual, the room cooled down easy. The room upon arrival was missing the clock and the TV remote was also gone. No big deal...never use the clock and after telling the front desk the remote was missing they sent up a new one in 10 minutes. This property is close to the White House and many monuments. Stay here is you are on your first DC trip: walking is easy. After a couple of questionable Hilton brand experiences this year, the Capital Hilton proved why Hilton is still the best.
From the moment I arrived, the incredible service was evident. The Bell service employees were so courteous, one of them even went above and beyond to show me where I could park nearby. I felt so welcomed! The service continued at front desk, with Philip who checked me in. He delivered amazing customer service. He actively listened and engaged with me during the check in process. He made sure I was adequately informed about various services and amenities and was was very accommodating with a last minute room change. At each point, though the hotel was filled with occupants, I felt like I was the only one there. This is true customer service!
I couldn't wait to share this review! My stay here was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced with such warmth and courtesy by the doorman. Frank and Christopher at the front desk made us feel like we were old friends, incredibly kind and unbelievably accommodating. We inquired about an earlier check-in, and without hesitation, they made it happen. The rooms, oh my goodness, they were not only spacious but also immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable. And let's not forget the icing on the cake β the hotel's unbeatable location. Every tourist attraction was just a leisurely stroll away. If you're ever in Washington, D.C., and you're even slightly hesitant about booking at the Capital Hilton, let me assure you, don't hesitate for a second!
