Pretty nice place for a party. It was much smaller than the photos seem to make it. But it would fine up to about 80 people if you didn't need much room to dance. A full house there would leave little room for a dance area. The good thing about this place is that it's not close to another business or homes that would complain about loud music, so can at least crank up the volume. And it looks like they had a real nice Bose system for rental there if you need it. The lady who ran the place( Bethany, I think) was super nice and very pleasant for conversation. The negatives were slight, but still there. It looks like Bethany was running everything on her own, so that's probably why it was a little less clean than it should have been. But when you're doing everything yourself, it's hard to cover every base. There was only 1 bathroom, which has to be shared by all the guests, both men and women. It was nice and clean, though. There isn't a kitchen, so plan your event accordingly. Overall, I would give this place a 9 out of 10 for a party. Would I recommend The Canvas event center? Yes!
Used the center for a baby shower and it was amazing. Bethany was great communicating with how we wanted everything set up and executed perfectly. Everyone had such a great time and the baby shower turned out great.
The Canvas Event Center is the perfect place to plan any kind of event you are looking for. I used them for my moms surprise 50th birthday party and it was the most non-stressful process. Bethany assisted with every single thing I needed. All I had to do was show up. I told her my vision and she executed!!!!! Great atmosphere and decorating was phenomenal! My mom was extremely excited, overwhelmed and overjoyed! Highly recommend
Where do I start? With having absolutely no party planning experience, booking with The Canvas Event Center was the best decision I could have made. Personally, great customer service is most important when dealing with businesses, and The Canvas Event Center provided that and more. From beginning to end, Ms. Bethany has been accommodating and made the process effortless on my behalf. Within an hour of making initial contact, she made herself available so that I was able view the venue. She provided me with vendor referrals, suggestions for venue step up, and many more great tips. Anytime I had questions or needed recommendations she was available and timely with her response. I purchased a package that included decorations, only thing required of me was to provide her with the vision, and she executed it perfectly and exceeded all expectations. Bethany, thank you for your professionalism and willingness to make my son’s graduation reception a dream come true.
It’s been about a year and I should have definitely wrote a review a lot sooner but Ms. Bethany did such a great job I couldn’t be happier with how everything came out and she was amazing and very easy to work with and very responsive. I gave her a theme and she went above and beyond. My best friend was so pleased with her baby shower. I definitely will be booking with her again!
