The ox-tail is amazing and the service. My husband got the jerk chicken and it was also darn delicious! Highly recommend spot!
Jam Eng ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/6/2023 Recommend? Ehhh. I would say that for the price there are probably better options in the area. I got the vegan "jerk" wings with rice and cabbage. The wings tasted like lightly bbq wings. In no way did it taste like it had jerk seasoning. Adding hot sauce to everything helped out this mediocre dish.
This place was ok the service wasn’t that great because the lady taking our order was kind of rude and didn’t want to answer our questions. My friend and I shared the curried chicken and jerk chicken sandwich. The jerk chicken sandwich was really good but the curried chicken was just alright it could have been a lot spicier. This place does have good prices though it wasn’t that expensive and our food came out quickly
I actually really enjoy this place for the amount of vegan options and the mini plates because I think it’s a good portion size for the price. I think the food is pretty good, and while it gets pretty busy and can get rowdy on weekends from the downtown crowd, I love it. Downtown on the weekend this place hits the spot for sure. I think it gets a 5 stars in the league of its own for making homemade hot food, keeping up with an bustling downtown crowd even late at night, offering a wide variety of options, and just being one of my favorite go to spots for a $5-7 mini plate.
Me and my brothers went there last night after a night out downtown and boy I gotta say this was probably the best chicken and rice I've ever eaten, not too spicy, obviously fresh, and reasonably priced, I will most definitely be coming back, the staff and security were friendly and fun and a little liquor in me made the experience all the more fun. They also have a bar! Nice hole in the wall all around, check it out!
