I was deciding between Gates Hotel in South Beach or this one and ultimately picked this due to having two children under five and the proximity to the beach. Beach access was extremely easy and the walkway between the hotel and beach access was great for the kids to ride their scooters on. I had the two queen room with balcony and the room was somewhat small, balcony was decent size but had a view of a parking garage. I would stay here again, only giving 4 stars due to having to pay $65 a night for parking when website says $50 (I drive a Ford Expedition). Jorge was very helpful
By far one of the best, restful stays I hacer ever had. I came to take some days off from a year of work . The location is prime yet private and the hotel is very cozy. I am a physical therapist and the bed and pillows are so comfortable. The staff was so kind and attentive Pedro at the pool, the boys at the beach, the restaurant staff and least Daniela from events. i like the text and notifications, which I received from the staff to check on my stay were good , yet not overwhelming. Thank you Hilton Cabana will definitely be back next time with my family! I would recommend this jewel to anyone.
I booked this hotel to have a pleasant vacation. I am a Hilton Honors Diamond Member. I do like Hilton in general. This hotel was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I don’t recommend staying here. Spend the extra $200 to stay somewhere else. I had multiple issues that I will list. First I arrived and asked for an upgrade. They gave me one to a newly renovated room. It Was probably finished a day before it smelled so bad from paint I couldn’t be in there and the AC was literally shaking I thought it would blow up. So I got a new room. In the room the linen was stained, the bathroom door did not lock, The shower was dirty with a clump of hair in there and the balcony door was so heavy to open I literally had to use my feet against the wall to open it. Next I went down to the pool besides for the fact that there is not a lot of sitting room, I waited for 10 minutes for an attendant to get me a towel. At the end they told me to just take it myself from behind the counter. I also asked the front desk for towels to be brought to my room, that took 45 minutes. The last horrendous thing was when I went to the bar and asked for a drink. With my own eyes the bartender uses his bare hands to scoop ice into my cup. I was shocked. I took the drink, walked away and through it in the garbage as to not embarrass him. After that I had enough. Some of the staff were nice but overall was not a good experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
We came here for a weekend trip. The hotel is hard to find the first time. There is no parking, you have to pay $50 a day for the valet service or try to get a parking space about .5 mile away. Check in isn't until 4pm. You will be charged $30 per day for resort fees, $25 for a beach umbrella, and 1 drink is $22. The staff member we had checking us in didn't follow protocols or listen to our requests. It looks like a new hotel but not worth it to me.
Would never recommend this place due to lack of hygiene! It is very subpar compared to other 4 star hotels and even lower grade Hiltons that I've stayed at. I'm a Hilton Gold member and my stay here was extremely uncomfortable. The ugly: 1. When we checked in the room, I noticed the towels had gross stains on them. The pillow covers were dirty and the coffee mugs had coffee stains on them (like they were not changed since last used). Next morning, I asked the front desk to send housekeeping but was told I would have had to request it 24 hours in advance. I explained how the room was unclean at check-in and the associate didn't even so much as apologize for the inconvenience that was being caused to us. No-one showed up to clean the room that day. 2. All the towels that were given to us has disgusting stains on them. This included the initial ones and the new ones we had requested. 3. On the 3rd day housekeeping did come and I noticed the same dirty coffee cup, which I had thrown on the floor, was now kept back as-is on the coffee machine, with the exact same coffee stains. They probably thought it would go unnoticed that they're putting trash back on the counter! 4. The public restrooms near the pool area didn't even have handwash, instead the hotel thought it was sufficient to put a bar soap for common use. 5. Minor point but still worth mentioning, the amenities card lists guests receive 2 reusable water bottles but this Hilton chose to give us 2 plastic bottles instead. The good: 1. Location is pretty good, you can simply walk into the beach and enjoy great views from your room. 2. Valet service is quick and efficient 3. Rooms are large
