Awesome atmosphere and music. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The jam up wings where awesome but the seafood bowl was where it's as. The shrimp was so fresh, I could probably eat a few dozen of them!
2 star because, for 1, I have never been to a restaurant that was out of tea. The food was good, I have to say, but the only reason I chose to eat there was to eat chicken and waffles. The bad thing about that was the only service it at brunch.. It would be nice if I could eat chicken and waffles when I get off at work cause I work in the morning and get off in the evening.
I was missing Savannah, which is home to me. A friend decided to take me to Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen because they serve food that I eat back home. They did not disappoint!!! The vibe was laid back. They played 90-2000’s music and the breeze was coming through the open windows. The food was delicious 🤤 table decoration was beautiful. Everything was fresh and hot. The seasoning on the food was perfect. I definitely recommend Virgil’s!!
Server Jamal was great and very friendly. Most of the food we had was good. What was good was the greens, spinach and the jam wingz. What was just ok was the okra gumbo, it literally had 1 shrimp in it. What I wouldn’t order again fried green tomatoes and the cabbage.
Our waiter (I can’t remember his name but it started with a D. I think it was Deandre or something like that) was amazing. I won’t say the food wasn’t great. What I ordered wasn’t great. The salmon patties and eggs that I ordered were not good. I basically just ate my potatoes. My mimosa was hot on arrival to the table. The atmosphere was pretty dope though it was a little too hot because it was like an outdoor experience indoors (front window opened and ceiling fans going).
