First and foremost I would just like to say that the two sisters who run this operation are incredibly sweet people and were helpful while I was at the store. They successfully did the hem and bustle on my dress and I’m satisfied with that. The reason I’m giving them only 3 stars is because of what they couldn’t do and their communication around that. When I purchased my dress it came with these yellow tinted cups that I wasn’t crazy about but the woman I bought the dress from said those were easily replaceable and sent me with some nude cups to switch them out with. My first fitting with TK Bridal was on July 15th and I wasn’t scheduled to come back and pick up my dress until Sept 9th (2 months prior to my wedding). I had to pay upfront on July 15th for the 4 things I was requesting to be altered so when I came back for my second/final fitting I had expected for these 4 things to be done. However it wasn’t until I was at that appointment that they let me know they weren’t comfortable changing the cups out because of how the original cups were sewn into the dress. Seeing as this was my biggest complaint about the dress I was distraught and holding back tears at that fitting. I’m not sure why they didn’t call me earlier within that 2 month time frame to let me know so I could hopefully find another alteration shop that could do it without having to scramble 7 weeks before my wedding. I feel like their communication could’ve been way better and I wanted to make my experience known so future brides can have the full picture and hopefully avoid this added stress so close to their wedding date. On top of all of this, when I went to pick up my dress from TK Bridal after I had been referred to another shop they had lost the replacement cups that I had brought in with the dress. They replaced them with some of their own cups but I have no idea if they are the right cup size or color that the originals were. If you’re just needing simple alterations done then TK Bridal can handle it, no doubt. But I would make sure they know your expectations as far as communication goes.
Did a great job altering my ballgown wedding dress for a reasonable price and in a quick time frame. They added a beautiful bustle and hemmed its many layers. Thank you!!
This was first time trying on bridal dresses and it was great. Ms Norma Jean was very kind, knowledgeable and patient with me as I tried to figure out what style I liked for my wedding dress. Would definitely recommend!
