I always have a pleasant experience at Smile Theory. Everyone, including the receptionists are kind. The dental assistants are easygoing, explain each step to calm you, and do a thorough job. The dentists are top notch. They are very attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. I always notice how clean and neat the facility is. The technology is top notch. I’ve chose Smile Theory during the pandemic and I have been pleased. They even validate Grant Park North parking for $10 (6 hours) so you can maximize your downtown visits. I like visiting the team! Excellent. Professional.
I've been a patient here for about 5 months and it really has been transformative for me. Dr. Kenya is amazing, takes the time to explain what she's doing and how to best care for your teeth and dental hygiene in general. The dental assistant (black woman, short hair) that cleaned my teeth recently went above and beyond and talked to me at length about gum health which I never even thought about.
Dr. Alex is the best! My experience was easy, straight forward and very enjoyable. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist!
The staff were very kind, and I am all for supporting women owned businesses. I came for an Invisalign and Botox consultation. I totally loved the idea of being able to get Botox done along with dental work like a one-stop shop. The quote for Invisalign here was actually $2k cheaper than what another dentist had previously offered me. This was my first time getting injections ever, and I was convinced to get a lip flip. However, when she injected me I felt the needle go through my lip and poke my gum line. I even tasted the Botox in my mouth. I mentioned it, but it was brushed off. After my appointment ended, I went to use the bathroom in the hallway so I could check my gums in the mirror, and there was in fact a poke from the needle and the tiny hole was bleeding. I didn’t go back and say anything, as I was already brushed off the first time. I just chalked up the money spent as a loss. The back of my throat also felt weird for a few days from tasting the Botox in my mouth, but it went away eventually. Two weeks later after the Botox kicked in, my results were pretty lopsided, as the Botox on one side of my lip was actually injected into my mouth. That was my first experience with any injectables and I haven’t tried again since. I waited a few months for the results to dissipate. However, I’m giving this place the benefit of the doubt because they seem like hard working, friendly women and they offer a wide array of services, and by the looks of other reviews I think my negative experience was a rare one.
Outstanding service and true professionalism. They have a very welcoming office and always get me in exactly at the time of my appointment. I recommend them to everyone serious about their dental care
