2 stars because my time was wasted. I try my best to go to "black owned" businesses. Matter of fact, that's always what I google first. But why should I keep trying to support my people when I get the short end of the stick. Before u say "but you'll continue going to other businesses if they do u wrong". No I won't. I move on to the next one. I like being early or on time for appts. Why can't they value my time like its theirs? My appt was at 1:45 and here it is an hour later and I'm still waiting. I would think the stylist would come out to greet me but we were texting back and forth. If u know a style is gonna be difficult, don't schedule anything else on that day. Even if my little girl was just getting a wash, conditioner and blow dry...my time is precious. I guess on the positive side, I got my deposit back. I don't think I'll be back at Renewed. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
I just want to say that I am thoroughly impressed by this business. I had a not so pleasant experience at this establishment a week and a half ago when I had my nails done. I voiced my concerns and did not feel I was heard so I posted a review online. The owner, Kareem, personally reached out to me on the phone and listened to my concerns and remedied the situation by inviting me to come back and have another nail tech, Kikih do my nails. Kikih, did an amazing job and I left a very happy customer. I work in customer service and have for many years, customer service to me is extremely important. This business went above ad beyond to ensure that I was taken care of ,which is something that is lacking in many businesses today. Kareem, even reached out to me after my service to ensure I was satisfied. I could tell from the moment I talked to him that he was genuine and valued his customers. I highly recommend this establishment!
I found this spa two years ago when I moved here and haven’t looked back! When you walk in, you immediately feel calm. Everyone is friendly and professional. I started my loc journey here with HairByBWills and it has been amazing. My hair is healthy and thick and I am in love with my locs! Plus it’s always great conversation. The spa is always clean, the music fits the atmosphere and the owner Nicole is passionate about her business. They have expanded to offer different events and spa experiences. My husband and I have done the private couples experience and it was a perfect date night! This hidden gem is so needed and I can’t wait to book an indoor picnic, the set up is gorgeous! I love watching this business grow!
I’m extra late with this review. My birthday was the beginning of May and this experience was a first.! I truly enjoyed my birthday facial, hair and getting my mani, pedicure done. Soooo relaxing all three days and to top it off my husband and two sons came in to surprise me with roses.!! I’m from Michigan and the southern hospitality with relaxing music and good conversation has been a blessing.! Looking forward to getting my hair done soon as I am booking an appointment today.!😊😍
LOVE THIS PLACE! Took my son in for a re-twist and the atmosphere was nothing short of inviting and professional! Melanin owned and powered! Huge shout out to Gabby for care of us! ✊🏾🖤
