Haven't had a cut in about a year so I still wasn't used to going back to the barbershop, but the man who cut my hair was very nice and took his time to understand what I wanted. Definitely coming back again
It’s always a good feeling to go into a place and every greets you. All of the barbers are courteous and welcoming. I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Matthew Scott and he kept my appointment on time and gave a more than professional cut. I just got a temple taper but he made it clean and sharp which is always going to add to your day. The Salon is in a great location with many other stores and plenty of parking. Matthew Scott is available to be booked on StyleSeat app so you can just book there and arrive on time according to what fits in your schedule. Great experience and I will be returning.
I was looking for a new hair stylist that specialized in natural hair that had great time management and professinonalism with a special skills in styling and hair cuts/trims. I found it in"Marquita Nelson" is the best for me at "Parlor Grand Salon" for all things mentioned and my hair feels amazing. And I have been to some of the so called best in the Bowie area D'Yolis & Cole Stevens hands down she is the winner in my opinion. She is a must try if looking for a great stylish.
I had my haircut here and must confess the barber on duty Mr. Danzie Seaward Jr. knew his stuff. We had a lively conversation and not only was there a discount on a new clipper he sold me, I also left looking cool with a fresh new haircut. The place is quite large with an assortment of several barbers, so one is not limited to the choice of a barber too. Also, they carter to both male and female clientele. Recommended.
Well I stopped into this salon after having lunch over at Milk and Honey. Saw the sign out front so I decided to stop in to see if I could find another stylist. Well the experience was not pleasant. At first I had my headphones in listening to a pod cast. Upon entering the business I was feverishly trying to stop the podcast and get my headphones out.( that took me a minute as we understand these phones work when they want). At any rate I got it stop and then spoke to the two young ladies I saw directly in front of me. Before I could get a full hello out the woman near the stylist chair says excuse me can I help you (tone) when I looked to my left I see the expression on her face (resting b.... face) as to say to me what do you want. So I said oh is a new salon as I was eyeing the place around.She says no but new stylist again you had to be there to understand the tone and body language. So again I ask the two young ladies about what they specialize in because at this point I wish NOT to further engage with the other woman. So again she says excuse me miss are you looking for a new stylist or someone in particular? I turn to her again and said I may have been but your energy is very aggressive and I just stop in here because I saw the sign outside. Then she goes on to ask what do I mean her energy ? I spoke to you when you came in but you had on your headphones. Huh duh and didn’t you see me trying g to stop and take them out ( I said to myself) at any rate she went on to tell me I was wrong and that her energy was rude basically it was me. SMH I said well ma’am you may not think your giving off a bad vibe but what matters is the perspective. you give the other person and on that note have a nice day! I would never ever step foot back into this business as long as she’s the manager of the salon. She didn’t know if I could have been new customer and turn into long time customer. She didn’t know if I could have sent several of referrals her way. But that why the saying goes be KINDA to one another. You just never know who Gods going to send thru your doors. By the looks of business she could use all she could get.
