I made an appt for me and my daughter to have a simple wash/blow dry a couple of days before we were seen. Although the stylist seemed to forget that morning and was stuck on the other side of town in traffic, her co-worker stepped in and made sure that not too much time was lost. When she arrived, she was very apologetic and took over. The services, salon and staff were all nice. It was out first time there. Worth a visit.
This is a cool salon and stylist here have great skill. The owner Toya is cool and also humble. And Ele, who is my stylist is great as well. Ele has an attentiveness to detail and addresses whatever concerns you may have about your hair especially if you may have questions. (During the time I was there-everyone left with a nice hairstyle, so it was noted that all of the stylists present were gifted with their hands). If you are seeking good quality hair care be sure to check them out.
Man it’s hard trying to find a stylist who takes good care of your Locs like the person who started them. I drove an hour or so just so the person who locked my hair could do them. I did my research and most place I found Dont have many walk-ins and if they do the wait is very long. However I just didn’t want someone doing my locs in a rush or just treating me like the next person in a chair. A friend of a friend referred me to this place and I was nervous at first but I knew I couldn’t keep driving all the way to my Home town. When I first got there I could feel the great positive energy in the atmosphere! I was at awe at the beautiful locs of different colors and styles walking the room! It was amazing to see so many beautiful black people in one room! LaToya is amazing! Very knowledge and nurturing! Her hands are magic and she is such a down to earth person! We vibed instantly! All the stylists who work there know their stuff and truly cares about each person who sits in their chair. They know how to revive and bring the best out of your locs. I have already set my next appointment with Toya who has officially become my new Loctician ! Than you for the open arms and accepting me as a client! I also love the fact they are all for the black community and they support Black business by giving back and doing amazing events! I am in board! Thank you !
Awesome multi-use space that is used as a salon but other events are hosted here as well. Could be a little hard to find if you are unfamiliar with the Metro Lofts setup. But once you're inside they take care of you. Stylist are on point! Great place to go if you have locs/natural hair. Be sure to catch their locs events.
Called to make a appointment and was told I would get a return call, But never did. I called back and was make an appointment, but when I arrived I waited 45 minutes to be seen because no one was aware that I was scheduled. My hair turned out great though!!!
